So.....

Horn looks like a top 10 pick.

Baker might be A Dude.

Darnold proved he is who we thought he was.

Might have some playmakers at WR.

OL could be suspect.

DL could be suspect.

Secondary might be nasty.

We will fight any MFer out there.

Anything else from the Pats practices I am forgetting?

So is Baker a dude or a dud?

The world is soooo dramatic these days.

These practices pretty much ALWAYS have fights, but the media and Huddle act like they just discovered electricity or something.

I agree with earlier comment about DB's possibly being good, just hope they are not always tacking guys that have gashed the middle and into the secondary.

Oline, who knows.  Already better than last season, and should get better as they play together.  CMC being back will be a must to pull pressure off the passing game and open up some 1 on 1's.

If we are 3-3 to start the season, I think we will be much better in the last 10 games or so.  11-6 barring major injuries to key players

Yeah, I guess I'm just saying coaches aren't without their own biases and agendas...  had it been another guy, they probably don't throw him out of practice two days in a row.  But, judging from what Slater said, it sounds pretty cut and dry that he concussed him and then stood over him.  Perhaps in the heat of the moment, Robinson didn't realize or feel like he was standing over him, but it probably doesn't matter what he thinks now.

Latest word is they're going to review video of the play before deciding what happens

Anyone get any clue if Baker/Sam are playing Friday? Seems dumb to sit 2 guys just because you won't pull the trigger on naming a starter. Would be interesting if Baker got to sit and Sam was out there with the 2's to start the game

Yea if they both sit, that will be a lot of PJ.

Ultimately the biggest flaw in Rhule's plan of having a "run first" team is that our franchise RB isn't capable of staying healthy. The second biggest flaw is that we aren't sure we have the OL to dominate in the run game.

And the third flaw is that it's a passing league.

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
