What Will Have the Biggest Impact on our Offense?

As long as CMC is a full participant, he is the best player on the field with very few exceptions.

Its almost not fair to have him as a house-call run threat, pro-bowl receiving threat, and then if the play call doesn’t pan out, he’s the ultimate check down threat.

He plays, we’re different.

He’s different.

Baker as QB1? - Kind of depends on some other factors. I think the overall QB play will improve dramatically. Less sure about the overall results.

McAdoo's system? - This is a wildcard for me. Has the potential to be both the most and least impactful thing. Strange statement, I realize but I am not sure what to think of Rhule's input/control until I see it in 2022.

Improved O-line? - This has a big potential to lead to our success/struggles. Maybe one of the biggest factors.

Return of CMC? - Would be a major factor if he stays healthy.

Other? - I don't think the other offensive position groups will have as much impact on our overall success. Our defense might, however. That will be worth watching.

Really good Question.... Fire to the op..

I say..

1. Consistent, experienced and adaptable Coaching and Playcalling from Mcadoo.

2. Improved Oline players and coaching..

3. Baker Atleast being avg. NFL starter..

4. Cmc health..

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
