Would you be pleased if we hired Byron Leftwich??

I think so. I know there are no guarantees but he looks promising. He is young, played and has had some good work behind him. He is a bit more inexperienced then I love and being a HC is such a crap shoot for anyone the 1st time in difference from coordinator. This is the kind of coach I wish Tepper hired with a long term plan behind instead of Hurney's best option. I think he will do well as a HC eventually even if he flames out the first time. I was so happy to see him not go to Jax and still be on the table for when we solve our Rhule problem.

I have no way to really know his coaching talent sitting here at the house but he was on my list before.
One thing for certain, players will respect that guy.

NFL QB. Just show them the clip of his teammates carrying him down the field to run the next play.
If he can coach at all, we win with that choice.

My ignorant take is that although I like the dude, Brady makes it very hard to evaluate his coaching abilities.

yeah, the greatest QB of all time is running the O leaves a lot of unknowns.  And I am sure Brady has a ton of control.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
