I believed in Baker. But I was wrong. Also, the OL sucks ass.

Coaching is first and foremost the biggest problem.  Every player on this roster is going to look far worse than they are under this staff, but Baker ain't it.  That defense sucked ass and they were playing scrubs on DJ all day.  One of the biggest traits of franchise QBs is being able to hit the easy throws when they're there.  Baker is missing way too many of those and then attempting throws he shouldn't.

And this OL is fuging horrible.  It looks comparable, if not worse than last season's.  Ickey is a rookie and needs to develop, but his presence is completely inconsequential for a guy with such incredible physical tools and ability.  Corbett has played like poo.  We're still starting a garbage can over a proven starting center who came from one of the best lines in the league.  And Moton has probably never looked worse.

The more I see, the less I like of this whole team...  but again, I know we look so much worse because of the coaching...  and as long as Rhule remains in place, we will continue to flail and fail in every possible aspect.  Our schemes, both offense and defense, put us at a disadvantage from the opening kickoff.  Rhule doesn't know how to win, so how could he possibly teach 53 grown men how to do so?  Simple.  He can't.  And honestly, we are all wasting our time even paying attention to this traveling trainwreck as long as he is in place.  We all know whats gonna happen, and we still watch.

how many throws did baker actually miss? i counted three game changing drops from shi smith alone. more from others (thomas, CMC) plus fumbles and poo, baker was hardly the problem here imo

and let's not forget the tackles played horribly and he was running for his life every down

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
