Did anyone think they’d miss Mr. Richardson?

Nah, just don't think Tepper would have such a spiraling start to ownership.  He seemed like a quick learner and a guy who wanted to be at the front end of trends in the league.  The entire franchise is lost in the wilderness.

Yeah, giving a college hc that had never really proven anything should never had got a 7 year gauranteed contract. Sean Payton? Sure. But why the fug Rhule? We could have canned Rhule and got Daboll but nope. Here we are.

Richardson was a decent owner and should have went out on his own terms. Yes, yes, he wasn't FORCED to sell the team, but the pressure was there...real or perceived.  I've said it several times, I think it was a hit job.  Was the dude, perfect? No, but as we have seen there are owners FAR worse still in the League.

I think had he weathered the storm, Richardson would have eventually sold to a football guy.  Maybe not an ex-player, but someone that at least had a background in the League.  Tepper is balls.  I didn't like the sell to him, I didn't like the Rhule hire and the franchise has been in free fall every since the dude got handed the keys to this organization.

At this point his only redeeming value would be to fire Rhule, select a hiring committee of NFL knowledgeable people to select the next HC and then stay out of the freaking way.   Dude may know hedge funds, but he's an idiot when it comes to running a NFL franchise.

If you're going to tee off on Scot you should also own up to your contrarian bit you've been doing for a couple of years now when criticism of Rhule and his decisions have been mentioned.

He was actually pretty much completely in the Richardson should be gone camp, so again....not sure what you were trying to say and your explanation didn't help.

I seriously doubt he misses JR even if he doesn't like tepper. It is possible to be glad JR is done and wish we had a better owner.

I know I do, just like I am still glad Rivera and fox are gone and I want Rhule gone.

You lost the moment you started trying to defend a racist womanizer. Jerry " call meh mistah" Richardson. No thanks

J.R turned out to be a creep. I don't miss him at all.

I do miss the players Hurney drafted in the first round. In those days we had a solid core of highly talented leaders in the field who were also loved by the fan base. Even if the season went poorly, you had some talent out there and leadership. Now under Fitt we have something that rhymes with his name. I want Fitt and Rhule gone. And no of course I don't ever want Hurney back.

    • I find it funny those who continue to hate on Bryce based on his rookie year when he had zero weapons or offensive line have a problem with those of us projecting his career from the 8-9 games where he played like a top 10 QB and made more big time throws during that period than any other QB.  The stats may bot have been there in terms of yards or TD passes but that’s coming as the roster improves. For those who think physical traits can overcome roster deficiencies we all witnessed how Mahomes looked under pressure that Bryce faced for most of his rookie year, we saw what happened with Stroud in similar circumstances.  None of us were creating posts proclaiming Bryce as the next Brady but we can’t just sit idly while thread after thread is created continuing with the  anti Bryce tropes  instead of supporting him and just letting him continue to develop.
    • To me Bryce's ceiling is his backup, Andy Dalton, in his prime.  Sure, he may get us some winning seasons and may even get us to the playoffs on occasion, but with an early exit.  To me he doesn't have what it takes to be elite and it takes an elite QB to consistently get deep into the playoffs.  He's not Jackson, he's not Mahomes and he's not even Allen.  In an organization like Philly, he possibly could have what it takes to make a deep run, but let's face it...Philly is well oiled machine and and we are a GMC Grimlin.
    • If he was he would still be in the league.... Cam never learned to play QB without relying on his athletism and rocket arm.
