Sam Vs Baker Stats through first 4 games. Sam’s upside is much higher than Baker’s.

What do Sam’s 4 last starts in the NFL look like stacked up to Baker’s last 4?  That would be a good comparison.   Is Baker at 2021 dumpster fire level yet

No he's not a better option.  He just helps us lose in different ways.  He will get benched in a game or two for PJ.

Its like Giants week every week with Darnold. I'll never forget that Darnold pass that game to a quadruple covered Ian Thomas that went no where near him. The problem is that its every week with Baker.

Anyone who thinks Sam Darnold is better than Baker Mayfield or would perform better than Baker Mayfield, probably also thought the Darnold trade was a good idea.

They probably also think Matt Rhule deserves more time. They probably also think we can make the playoffs.

Secondly, we got the opportunity to watch them both play under this offense and Baker looked better.

Folks should be open to the idea that Darnold could look even worse.

Baker doesn't have Arnold.

I think you missed that whole receiving TE factor. Thomas and Tremble are not even close to Arnold. Remember when coaches thought Tremble was ready to replace Arnold as the starter? Darnold was targeting Arnold 4 times a game in his 3-0 start. Then came the Arnold trade. Darnold went from a 60% passer to a 40% passer.

I'm sure Baker would like to have a receiving TE. Ian Thomas was never it and the front office should feel the pain for that decision.

BTW, they both stink. They won't consistently win close games in the 4th quarter when the team falls behind.

This is the worst season of Bakers career - and it's not even close.  At what point do we finally stop blaming our QB?  This is a coaching problem, 1000%.

Baker is probably not the answer, but he should be enough for us to score more than 16 points per game.  Teddy-two-gloves put up 22 per game with far fewer weapons.  Broken Cam and Kyle Allen put up 21.
