Y'all, stop. We have to keep Rhule. How else can we ensure getting the number 1 draft pick?

This is the same franchise that had to endure Jimmy Pickles so we could have Cam. Shut up and take your medicine. Better times are ahead.

Is there a Cam in this draft though? I don’t see it. It’s still early though.

Top 2 QB’s from Bama and Ohio St., and those teams always outclass their opponent talent wise.

Cam carried Auburn on his back.

I never hated Richardson, Rivera or Fox. Disliked Hurney a lot. Getting to the point of hate for Tepper and Rhule.

I'm not invested enough to hate anyone but my dislike for Tepper and Rhule have by far surpassed Fox, Rivera, and Richardson.

The former leadership had success they could point to for their reasoning, Tepper and Rhule act as if they've already won a Super Bowl. The pair are way too overconfident and snobbish for constructing a bottom of the barrel NFL team.

Richardson was likely gonna seek the team sooner or later even if he hadn’t been pegged as a pervert.
But Richardson knew football and knew when it was time to let a coach go. Even if he only ever fired a coach after the season.

From the blurb...

ESPN's Dan Graziano reports "there's a lot of buzz" the Panthers will fire head coach Matt Rhule "if things don't pick up soon."

The Panthers have a 1-3 start under Rhule, who is facing three straight losing seasons, and are 11-26 since hiring Rhule in 2020. Another loss to the 49ers in Week 5 could add fuel to Rhule's already hot seat. Firing Rhule in-season would give Carolina an early start at finding his replacement amid rumors the team is planing a run at Sean Payton in 2023. Ex-Cardinals coach Steve Wilks would likely serve as the interim coach if Rhule is fired. The Panthers have been the league's worst offense through the first four weeks, ranking last in the NFL in third-down percentage (26%) and total yards per game (263).

As was all for giving him this last shot this season but this team as looked really bad. The offense is awful. Nothing has changed from last season even with all the moves to improve. At this point, unless something drastically changes, he needs to go. I believe in giving people their time and opportunities but at some point we have to see something that resembles success, which we are not, at that point you have to blame the HC. I have no more excuses for Rhule. If we come out and look like garbage again then make the change.

My biggest issue at that point will be what to call myself.

I think people that don't want him fired because it won't win anymore games are insane in wanting to sit through 12 more weeks of Rhule press conferences lol. I can't stand listening to or looking at him anymore. I'm more interested in if someone could call plays instead of McAdoo. I'm sure he has some run plays and play actions in his Football menu, if he doesn't it wouldn't be hard to come up with a few of each. Sometimes less is more

I think 3 years of missing out on the #1 overall pick and sitting thru this poo year after year of 5 wins is even more insane than just taking our lumps for one season.

so soon?

seriously…if things don’t pick up? Lol

was fuging stupid hire and way too late, the same person who put Rhule in charge, paid him a ransom and basically made him a GM…from college….is still picking our next coach. I have zero faith and Fitt is garbage too.

Should have been done in the off-season. What a wasted year. This could have been a competitive year one for a new coach in which we are progressing towards a playoff year next year with the right qb.

Now it’s a complete throw away which will be followed by another throw away year.

Thanks tepper.

Yep

And the sad part, no one on here wants Rhule to fail, it’s not in anyone’s best interest but  if we are all honest, we knew the guy was a failure waiting to happen from the day he was hired

Too, never ever trust anyone, much less an NFL coach who talks so much

He talks and talks and talks and used the ultimate business phrase ‘repeatable process for sustained excellence’ and Tepper took the bait, hook line and sinker

as for both Tepper and Rhule in the NFL ‘all hat, no cattle’

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
