You still have to take shots.  Every play being a run or a short pass is never going to work.  Defense will just sit.  You have to take shots even if they wont work to show the defense.

His Temple buddy is gone, he has no one to defend him.  Trade him while he still has value, he is a good player, but not when he is disgruntled.
