Reminder: we dont have Rhule anymore to select his annual Temple/Baylor guys and long snappers with late round picks. If we get a HC more competent, these late round picks could be worth something. Imagine if we had a coach with a brain that wouldve selected Trey Smith over a fuging long snapper a couple years ago.

To be fair a large majority of the league had red flags all over Trey Smith.  With that being said, sometimes in those late rounds if a player who has shown real talent has fallen due to injury concerns you go ahead and take a chance and hope that they can heal and overcome whatever medical issues they have.  You won't win a lot of these "roll the dice" picks, but my goodness it's better than selecting a long snapper.

I actually think he’s going to be a good player for a long time but again it’s a positional value thing.

He’s in year 3 so if everything goes according to plan and we get our rookie QB, Brown will need a new contract in what will be our rookie QB’s 3rd season. I just think the money could be spent better than on a DT. Again, I am not giving Derrick Brown away. Someone would have to offer real value. I like Brown.

I mean... if we are able to keep Chinn, DB, Burns, and Horn... that defensive core is disgusting. Add a young talent LB and we are golden.

Then you have the offensive side where you have a top 10 line, CMC, and Moore. Go get a QB, possession WR and TE... I like the possibilties.

2024 and 2025, fam. No help this year.

As of now the only pick we are missing in 2024 is a 7th.  Already recouped the Baker and Shenault trades with Daley and Robbie.  It sucks, but we can't expcect to wipe our @sses from Rhule in only one offseason.

Brandon Smith and Terrace Marshall Jr developing would be a big, big boost for this team's future 😮

I didn't have any doubt that Anderson would be gladly picked up. That's why I scoffed at Huddle posts expressing that sentiment. The perception of Robbie here vs around the league were at odds with one another. The Huddle bubble can warp your mind if you let it.

Gladly picked up for a 6th and 7th rounder. Let's not act like we got back a 2nd or a 3rd. People thought and rightly assumed it would be hard to get anything substantial for him after his hijinks yesterday. But hey, continue patting yourself on the back. But, the last two weeks there has been a huddle camp who say any picks after the 3rd round don't matter. You weren't one of the ones in that camp were you?

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
