This will probably be downvoted, but I am curious what DJax would fetch on the trade market, as well as dead $$ he would cost us. I'm assuming it's similar to Shaq where it's not worth the cap hit.

I am not opposed to keeping him per se, just wondering if he could net us more in assets than his long-term projection with this team. The flip side is that between Horn-Jackson-Henderson-Taylor, we have four CBs that can compete.

Personally, I think Taylor, though a different style of CB has equal to if not higher upside with us long-term.

7.3 in dead, 2.2 in savings (in 2023)

I was wanting to trade Jackson last year. It made the most sense but nope. At this point unless someone gives you something of actual value (which they won’t) you keep him

Why does espn keep bringing up DJ to be traded, they will not trade him how do they not understand that?

Viewership I suspect.  Anything to keep eyes watching the network.  He was on the highlight reel yesterday and  Carolina did trade that Christian guy so everyone needs to keep watching in case.  But I do agree it is highly unlikely that he gets traded at this point.

im not even sure who would trade for him.... all of the usual suspects have gotten WRs. Packers arent a receiver away from competing. Giants arent going to trade their first round pick. Bears are in rebuild. Browns dont have the assets.  Maybe the Jets?

    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
    • Not uncommon for week 1 games. Especially against good defenses. It’s why I prefer my team play these small schools week 1 if they are going to play them. Gives the offense time to get calibrated.
