Are we a better, equal or worse situation than the colts?

We might talk trash about tepper (well deserved) but damn, irsay and the colts have never found a qb after luck (much like us), but they spent more money. There isn't really any talent at their offensive positions and taylor fell off. Irsay literally went out and hired jeff saturday for three months. Why take that job?

I say better because we got a slight leg up on starting over.

The colts were viewed as a team that had a good roster but flawed at QB (where have we heard that before) and things go down South real quick when you're in QB purgatory.

Irsay has been crazy and as much as people say Tepper middles, Irsay has a say in everythinggggg and it has to happen.

The fact that the press conference with the GM and Irsay has been moved back 3 times tonight shows the dysfunction.

Yikes....  this does not look good for the Colts next year.... aging players with heavy contracts....https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/indianapolis-colts/cap/2023/

Buckner, Gilmore, Stewart and Moore are basically given cuts with a ton of space clearing and minimal dead cap. In large part because their bases aren’t renegotiated contracts with converted base to bonuses like Sal does.

They can easily get a lot of space and not lose their core talent.

    • frank, that ball was very catchable where it hit his hands. I don't even think he bent at waist until after he dropped it. He actually slows his pace to position himself to catch the ball. That will never be a pass I'd blame on the QB.   NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-54-54.mp4
    • https://overthecap.com/position/left-guard   Lewis is the 9th highest paid Left Guard in the league. I bet it was higher when the deal was done two years ago.    https://overthecap.com/position/right-guard Hunt #3 highest Right Guard   There is a tab in the upper left portion of the graphic that allows looking at the different positions.
    • It was a great play, but a better catch than throw. The TE boxes out Moehrig for position. Jumps to catch the ball. Catches it and turns 180 degrees while he's still in the air. Comes down and toe taps to stay in bounds and lunges for the goal post. That first part where he boxes out Moehrig for the ball is huge. If he doesn't do that and simply fades back to catch the ball (this is why Bryce doesn't trust XL), then Moehrig likely undercuts the pass for a break up or INT. Stafford trusts his receivers to make plays for him. Here I slowed it down so you can see it. Great play but amazing catch and score by the TE.  NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-45-32.mp4 NFL+ _ Live Games on mobile, NFL RedZone, NFL Network and More! - Google Chrome 2026-01-15 13-44-37.mp4
