How do you feel about CJ Stroud

What’s funny is Sam is more physically gifted than the top 2 prospects in 2023.

Young’s brain in Sam’s frame would be one hell of a QB prospect.

Yeah that 1.5 cent brain is a huge issue.

Which, Darnold would currently be the least experienced QB in the first round with his NFL experience. People forget that his total experience playing QB is insanely low.

I will have a much better opinion after this weekend.  OSU/Michigan in an epic battle.  Two 10-0 teams in one of college football's greatest rivalries.

I'm pulling for OSU but want to see Michigan really put some pressure on Stroud.  Stroud hangs in there and has a good game.  It might shake the feeling I have that he is overrated.

Go Buckeyes.

Don’t like any OSU QB, almost impossible to evaluate outside of the measurables. I want Bryce Young but I highly doubt Houston doesn’t take him

I like Bryce but think his height will be a major issue in the NFL

Would rather have him over Young. Young will be in the back of an ambulance in his first season because of his frame.  Supposedly, he grew 2 inches in college and gained some weight so who knows.

Why do people keep saying this like they KNOW he’s going to be destroyed? He’s played in the SEC against big boys and has only missed one game(this year). He injured his AC joint and missed 1 game. He proceeded to come back the following week and throw for over 450 yards. He’s stayed healthy the majority of his career.

Also, in the NFL any size QB gets injured. Herbert who is a giant has dealt with injuries every year and he’s huge.

Draft the man. He’s small, but he’s Elite.

Cam was built like a DE and we all know the injuries he dealt with.

I'm open to him, but he's going to need work making the transition to the NFL just like all of these guys.

I haven't seen the guy that I'm willing to trade a king's ransom for in this upcoming draft. I don't believe that Stroud, Young, Levis or anyone is going to come in tearing it up.

    • That argument could be used for actual trolls. “If you don’t like it find somewhere else to post” is just silly. Some of us are just letting you know, you are sounding like a broken record on these threads. It’s just some constructive criticism. You don’t have to change your ways. I doubt you will. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Feel free to deflect and use one of those GIFs again.
    • It went from he has to jump to he has to bend his hips. That’s changing it. I showed you clips of him throwing deep without jumping which means he doesn’t always have to. I liked and like Stroud better so I’m not really a Bryce defender. Just think you don’t have to make up things when critiquing our QB like he has to jump to throw it deep. There is plenty of ammo there without those exaggerations. Oh yeah the “you don’t know ball” argument. Classic.
    • I get the rookie QB formula and fully expected to see it implemented. Oh well. For the run game there was no or very little under center stuff until a good ways into the year. At least that is how I am remembering it. And no deep throwing - so stacked boxes which you can say chicken or egg on why.  Hard to run like that.  The QB that people said was so great was pulled for a designated Hail Mary thrower. That’s pretty unusual. And may speak to why we saw few deep balls in some part, along with the OL. To ignore that stuff means you aren’t working with all of the information when you try to mentally model or project what it might be like on the field.  Me, I have a slice of hope that he could maybe be NFL average but getting him to be a plus type of QB is a huge job. It depends on designing the playbook with certain values at the foundation that have to be adhered to first . You have to integrate the other pieces around this one guy’s skill set because he is a real outlier. And he has to learn the under center skill set. Maybe put that Only Positive thread back up people can go there if they don’t want to deal with rightly frustrated fans.
