Bunch of losers

This “everyone gets a trophy” mentality is so stupid.  You are proud of the team, full of players getting paid millions, for their “character”?  We played like crap earlier in the season under Rhule.  Under Wilks, we have a losing record and just lost to a very bad Bucs team in epic fashion.  Every team has injuries…Bucs being one of them.  I simply refuse to be proud of a bunch of grown men making millions who missed dozens of tackles and allowed wide open receivers all day.

Yeah. For their response I sure am. This isn't "everyone gets a trophy" this is turning around from being so bad we were projected to be a top 3 pick in the draft, to turning into a tough team to play, running for over 300 yards on the ground last week. This team is seriously lacking talent in key areas but they didn't just shelf the season and say fug it. They had no business competing in January. This season was essentially over two months ago and they responded.

I was in the "tank for Stroud" camp. But I feel better about the current roster seeing how they fought than I would have if they just shipped it and mentally checked out. But the constant bitching and negativity this fan base loves to spew gets you cool huddle points, so don't let me get in the way of your precious pie.

Some of the posters on this site are trash. This team has showed incredible character rebounding since Rhule was sent packing. Our secondary is completely depleted and unfortunately that is what has cost us today. But this attitude sucks. I am proud of this team

I have bad news for ya, this team has a ton of holes and is nowhere near competing for anything consequential. The only reason this game even mattered is because the NFC South is historically bad. The team stinks, the coaches stink, and the owner hasn’t shown a shred of competency since he bought the team. But I’m glad these last 10 games made you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

I feel like people are missing this point. If not for playing in this sh*t division, we would have been talking about the draft a few months ago. We screwed ourselves yet again out of a top 5 pick where we could potentially draft our franchise QB.

You morons are absolutely clueless. For one, we obviously have a ton of holes. As I said in the post you are responding to if you could read. And I also said I was in the "tank the season crowd" but I guess your reading comprehension sucks as bad as CJ Henderson and you were unable to process any of that.

But I am still proud of the guys we have on this roster for not quitting. Maybe you are too dense to understand any of that. But hopefully this can help you understand the context.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
