If only we could sign aqueel glass, what a missed opportunity

You keep digging at this lol. Glass, Ridder, Purdy, and Coan were the only QBs worth getting on the roster IMO. I don't hit all the time, but I hit more than I miss with my QB algo. Only 3 multi QB drafts since the Panthers have been around. 1998, 2012, and 2022.

My offseason suggestion for camp was this... Jimmy G/Flacco/Foles (one as vet). Unload Darnold for any draft pick. Bring in 3 of the following... Ridder, Glass, Purdy, Coan. That is how you start the QB room for the 2022 season. Keep the vet and let the 3 rooks prove themselves. Hand the team over to the rook that wins the team for a miracle season run. I also said to use the 1st pick on a #1 WR for a miracle season run too (Garrett Wilson was my 1st choice, but there was a deep list this year).

We will see how Glass does over the next few seasons.

Given opportunities, I would not be shocked to hear people 10 years from now call me out on BS for Purdy and Glass like they now call me out for Brady and Warner. We will see.

The future is never screwed. A good GM/Coach combo can turn the worst team into a contender in 2 to 3 seasons easy.

That’s the Carolina Panther way, forever mirrored in the 7-13 position draft board

Franchise QB hopes fade away

a loaded draft board opportunity for a good but not elite DE we could have traded away will now hamper our cap as his agent knows he has us behind the 8 ball

we’re not a hot prospect for a top flight coach

but I’m real glad for Hershel in Gastonia and WayneBobby in Shelby got to enjoy watching this team ‘fight’ for a playoff spot

this was our year to take then nose dive just like Jimmy C year was the year to take the nosedive except we totally botched it

here’s to another 3-5 years with you guys as a semi mediocre franchise

There is no real franchise qb for us this draft...but the future is bright if a good hire is made and we dont trade up.

Haha, big middle finger to you from across the Catawba buddy

And don't point fingers at Herschel and Wayne Bobby when you're the one with the Ricky bobby "if you ain't first your last" mentality

So I'm sorry that for the first time in years the PSL's i pay for year in and year out actually yielded experiences that weren't exercises in masochism. And for the extra wear and tear I added to my seat getting loud on defense to try and help get stops, clearly I'm responsible for us not having the No1 overall pick.

This fan base has a abundance of dumbass..

It has gotten so much worse in the past 5 years or so.  I think it is a combination of a society that expects instant gratification, think playing fantasy football makes them capable of being a coach/GM, and the underlying mental illness issues that have been plaguing the country brought on and worsened by Covid.

This toxic mix compels some to try to drag others into the mental illness they are obviously suffering from.  I truly don't understand why they stick around if they are so bothered by everything.

I once thought a lot of the straight up sh*tposting was trolling, but the overwhelming prevalence and the absolute need to be heard over social media along with the need to try to drag others into their misery is something new.  Mental health is this country is a massive issue, and a lot of these types of posts are both pathetic and in a sad way, a cry for help.

Seriously, if a game is causing you the kind of mental anguish to post something like this, you need professional help, and I genuinely hope you seek it out.  You sound suicidal over what is ultimately a game.  Take a day, reread this, and really think about why you felt the need to broadcast this.  Because I personally think it's way more about mental health and an inability to cope than it is about the Panthers losing a football game b/c full stop this sounds unhinged.

I just do not get it. First most here wanted to tank for a new QB. Then, many of those who wanted to tank wanted to win the division because the team was starting to get wins. Now the complaining starts because we are moving out of draft position. So what if we move because not one of those players drafted are a lock to become NFL stars. Drafting is just a gamble pretty much and it will be either getting a great starter or a great blunder.

    • It's rare enough for a running back to tear the same ACL twice. There's not much of a sample size on the recoveries. And of course Dobbins has missed a lot of time--he was injured twice. That number will drop as his career continues, and even if it doesn't, that doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with the prior injuries. Dobbins just started and played well for a playoff team all year until he was injured by a hip-drop tackle. Surely his ACL recoveries didn't contribute to his completely random foot injury caused by an illegal tackle? Again, I'm confused why everyone is being so definitive that there's 'very little chance' of any meaningful contribution ever when the greatest counterpoint ever played for us. Thomas Davis tore the same knee over and over again and was basically fine. As for the roster-building stuff, we'll see what happens with Chuba and Dowdle at the end of the year, but Etienne's not going to factor into this. Either Brooks comes back, in which case we've already seen more from him than we have from Etienne, or he doesn't. But Etienne's not forcing him off the team. If anything, Etienne's current role is his absolute floor.
    • Then I would assume disingenuous. Why on earth would you consider this an "exciting" time to be a Panthers fan? Let me ask this, how old are you and how long have you been an NFL fan?
    • An ESPN writer had a good breakdown of teams that were likely to come back to earth(KC and Redskins were two of them) based on outlier results in 2024 in close games. I think that has a lot to do with it. Found it: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46003861/nfl-teams-likely-decline-lose-more-games-2025-season-predictions-vikings-chiefs-commanders-lions-colts
