The control angle is going to be important. After what happened in SF, I can't see Harbaugh taking a job where he doesn't get full control. Fitterer might be okay with it. Not sure if Tepper will be.

I would take him. He has proven he can coach at any level and would be a heck of a big hire but I doubt that happens. He will pick the Broncos im willing to bet as Elway will help win him over. Two old QB's talking shop and a buddy system comes of it where a new hire is made.

If Harbaugh is willing to come to Carolina, Tepper should do whatever is needed to make it happen.

How long did Rhule last?  

Everywhere Harbaugh goes his teams are competitive and his NFL record shows twice as many wins as losses.

Plus, for whatever it's worth, Harbaugh has been at Michigan since 2015.  So it isn't inevitable that he'd be gone after only a few years.

TL/DR:  Yeah, as a long suffering Panthers fan, I'd be willing risk only having two or three years of winning with Harbaugh.
