What is your unpopular opinion?

I don't want any vet starters at all. A journeyman backup sure. I don't care if it's a second round qb and Corral competing to start. Just start drafting rookies and throw them out there. Please stop wasting money on pricey declining vets. I can't take that anymore. For the love of the Panthers please stop the insanity.

Not my preference, but if we don't get one of those three then we have to get a vet.

Btw....I'd rather have Carr than Levis.

I'm just tired if losing and we could get another 5 years out of Carr and be a contender for all of those years.

Where do I begin…

- live music at a bar is annoying af

- cold pizza and spaghetti is just as good as it is hot

- hiking blows

- if u seen fireworks once, no point in ever seeing em again

- DJ Moore and Burns are so overrated on this board

- Bulls woulda never been the Bulls without Jerry Krouse. Obviously MJ is a God but Krouse didn’t get nearly enough love.

My unpopular opinion?

I got several (but they're more unpopular predictions as much as they are opinions):

The Panthers re-sign Sam Darnold instead of trying (or signing) someone else at QB out of the belief that Frank Reich can turn anything he touches into gold (though with Sam, it may end up being Fools Gold, but I digress).

Another unpopular opinion is that while Sam is re-signed to be a BRIDGE QB (hopefully, only that), the Panthers end up NOT drafting a QB as they are not impressed with the QB class this season(especially where they're situated at #9) so they're punting next season on that front and would instead draft a dynamic WR like Jordan Palmer or Quentin Johnson to give DJ some more help out there.

During all that, Corral would be getting a look but I think (and again this is just an unpopular opinion here) Frank would prefer Sam to Corral (at least until they draft that Franchise QB they've been looking for since forever).

(btw, the above are just opinions, not facts.  I think the Panthers go after an entirely new Vet QB instead of Sam...)

    • Word is that Lawrence showed up and weighed in at nearly 400 pounds for his Bengals medical check. I'd find a reason to fail him. Blood type tested as bacon grease. Fail. We've all seen what happens when a dominant huge, explosive DT can't manage his weight. You're gonna age like milk. Looking like Kris Jenkins 2.0.
    • Hard to interpret some of Brugler's opinions. Capable of running a robust route tree sounds like a lazy thing to say - I'm sure just about every slot TE is capable of running a full route tree... I want to know if he is currently able to (which from tape leads me to a no). Granted, it's pretty common for most receivers/TE not having a full route tree developed before they get drafted. Agility/acceleration after the catch hasn't shown up on his tape (at least his Oregon tape) for those dig/out breaking routes while it has for the seam and slant routes. Agree he has a good physical build and he is very good running seam routes. His build definitely helps him to shield defenders and create a large target point for the QB. Drops were a concern, but it could be focus drops just like T-Mac was/is prone to. Run blocking is an accurate statement, but again, we have only seen him run block in the slot/backfield - inline blocking is a whole different animal. With his athleticism, he definitely has a high ceiling. I just think he also has a low floor and don't like taking that big of a risk on a mid 1st rounder. I think this is a deep TE draft and would much rather target one in the 3rd or later. He's very boom or bust to me - bust in terms of being worth a 1st round pick, not an out of the NFL in a few years type bust. I feel like he gives me Evan Engram vibes. Not saying that Evan Engram was/is a bad NFL player, just that most people would agree he shouldn't have been drafted in the 1st.
