You sit back and laugh at all the draft capital an incompetent GM like Fitterer and dipshit owner like Tepper waste when they could have just played you instead.

You do know Rhule was the driving force behind all of those decisions. It's hard to play poker with other GMs with all your cards face up on the table.

Does that make it any better? If true that it's all on Rhule, it is still ultimately on the GM and owners who are weak charlatans trying to sell us garbage.

Keep him as a cheap backup qb, maybe you can drum up some trade value for him later on if he shows something in pre season or if our starter(s) get injured and he plays and balls in the regular season.

Yeah at least let him get healthy and see if another team gets an injury and needs a backup or something. He won't have any value until training camp

Looking at it from a different angle: You have a QB coach barely removed from a mentor/vet back-up role. The Panthers may see that they can pass on the idea that they must have a vet for the benefit it may bring. IMO, I would not be surprised if they pass on a vet QB & use the money & roster spot on a FA DE or CB. Again this is just IMO,

    • These kickers are getting so good
    • They're pretty far off, double T-Mac's stats to get to the same targets as XL and it would be 4 drops to 7.  A 3 drop difference might not sound like a lot, but it's still almost twice as many drops on the same number of targets. Not to mention, if I remember correctly, XL's drop problems last year seemed more down field, where he was dropping passes he should be making and it was clear his poor hands were there reason he dropped them. And weren't both of T-Mac's drops this year on quick hitters with blockers out in front of him?  I know at least the second one was as he was going to go for a huge play and maybe a TD on it. To me, and yes, I'd say this about any other player, those are drops because a rookie was trying to do too much in making a play before securing the catch.  Much easier to improve upon than dropping passes because you have bricks for hands and body catch more often than hands catch, like with XL. And yes, 100%, which is why I wasn't one of those people you were referring to with talking about him that way last year.  Yes, I said he had drop problems., because he did, but I didn't think they were unsolvable and expected to see great improvement this year (unfortunately not sure that happened though).
    • Every iffy call has gone the way of the Chiefs tonight, per usual. They had a TD earlier tonight that looked like obvious offensive pass interference and the flag was throw but picked up.
