Seeing A LOT of smoke on social media today that we’re about to make a trade for Hunter Renfrow….

Wouldn't be against trading for him, but I'd be pretty frustrated if we gave up any decent assets for him instead of going after Hopkins, Sutton, Jeudy, or Elijah Moore.

Pretty good week overall of signings but it's worrying that we still have a glaring hole at WR that wasn't patched up during the first week of free agency.

I have a feeling they have something planned to go down soon

I agree. You look at the way all these new contracts are structured with low cap hits this year and the fact that they're still doing restructures it does seem to indicate that they're at least going to attempt to do something with that cap space beyond just signing a few more backups in free agency.

Someone i wouldn’t mind us targeting - Eagles Quez Watkins. Lightning fast and produces despite being behind Brown and Smith.  The Eagles have salary cap issues and clearing his 2.8M cap hit would help them.  Getting him for a 4th or 5th rounder is a possibility

Just now, Smithers said:

There are a lot of receivers being rumored as trade targets - no one saw the AJ Brown trade coming last year.  Wouldn’t surprise me if there’s another shocking target being shopped this go around.

Keenan Allen? Tyler Boyd? Michael Pittman? Stefon Diggs? Tyler Lockett?

Diggs just restructured his contract, so you can scratch him off the list.

Tyler Boyd is in the final year of his contract, and the bengals would have saved a lot of money to get a free agent if they had traded him before the start of FA. So this seems unlikely. There is no incentive for the bengals to trade him.

It would cost the Seahawks 25 million in dead cap to trade Lockett this year… that’s not gonna happen.

Keenan Allen restructured two weeks ago, and trading him would cost the chargers more than it would keeping him on the roster…  by a large margin.  40 milllion in dead/lost cap!!!!

michael Pittman….. that is a possibility though…. I just don’t think the colts would offer for him for anything lesss than a 2nd… not sure he is worth that tbh.

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
