What does Fitt do at WR?

I just don’t know how many vets want to play for a rookie qb

See what Houston wants for cooks, but I’m not sure what his beef with the Texans was about

sutton would be a nice big target for us but a 1st is too rich for my blood, especially with the acl injury recently

ideally you want a decent vet wr so you’re not shopping hungry in the 2nd round

Hopkins is still a top WR in the NFL though.   He was top 10 last year in the NFL in yards per game when he came back.  Arguably best hands in the business

Sure, I love Hopkins. My favorite non-Panther WR in recent history. But he’s 30. If we could get him with a throwaway pick like 5+ then sure. I don’t think that would get it done though.

Drug addict though

He got busted for PEDs.  He wasn’t Lawerence Taylor or Micheal Irvin.  Not sure that’s a red flag for him.

NFL is slammed full of guys on PEDs and drugs.

Yeah, I mean he is a local kid but doesn’t seem to be in the same place a Gilmore was from a personal level so he probably isn’t looking to home home just because it’s home.

It is probably no coincidence that he has addressed all other needs except WR, the biggest need (aside from QB, which is handled).  That probably means he is working on some sort of trade.  I still expect a cheap signing--like Parris--but we may be trying to swap players, not picks.  That would necessitate waiting into free agency more than just signing free agents.  Who might be dangled as trade bait?  YGM, Chinn, Thomas, come to mind.  We shall see.

I predict the trade partner is Denver.

If anyone I would guess Chinn, the only good player with any value and doesn’t have a clear position in our new defense.
