To early, he can still screw up by selecting Levis first overall.

all this hoopla of "but Tepper likes this guy" in contrast to "while Reich likes this guy" ..

thats all a bunch of misdirection and smokescreen.

sure, like all of us he has his preference, but theres no doubt in my mind hes opening his wallet and stepping aside and letting Reich and co. cook

I was immediately sold on Stroud, but the more research I do, the more I keep wondering about Young.  Aside from his size, he checks all the boxes---I know Stroud can check boxes too....I think it will become more clear--but I tried to keep an open mind and not lock in on one decision in early March--and the more I research Young, the more I think, after his pro day, people will start favoring him,  Most of the "experts" on NFL network, including a former GM Marc Ross who is firm about it...SO CONFUSED--either might be OK, but if one fails and one succeeds, it will haunt us forever....Unless we take Levis.  Then we need the suicide hotline.

got to consider that box that says "Injury" by it too...........

I am leaning toward C.J. Stroud as the favorite because he not only checks the boxes but is Reich's type of QB to scheme around.

However, if the Panthers decide to select Bryce Young a great QB in his own right, I will not be disappointed with the selection.

I'd say Mr. Tepper has gone a long way in redeeming himself by finally realizing he isn't going to outsmart and outplay 31 other teams by bringing in an outsider with virtually no pro football experience.

I would have thought it would have been obvious from day one that Mr. Tepper's only real advantage over other teams was an unlimited budget to hire his coaching staff.  So, why not try and hire the most experienced and successful NFL coaches you can find?

It took him five years, but the good news is, it appears that Mr. Tepper and the Panthers are finally heading in the right direction.

Not his job to pick the QB.

Lots of owners are hands on.

I’d say the majority are going to be in the mix for a #1 overall pick, especially one where they have up a lot of capital to get it.

I think he will have input and it will matter.  Which makes sense.

Tepper hired the wrong dude and everyone started calling him names. I never did. First of all, patience is required while someone is learning (unless you want to drive yourself crazy and create all kinds of premature judgments). And secondly, unless you believe that Tepper is a liar, you had to know that he wasn't going to let the Panthers spiral forever. There is little doubt in my mind that he's going to get the team straight, and once he does, it's going to stay that way.

    • Kupp didn't win them a SB, the Stafford trade did. No WR is carring a SB. Kupp just showd his QB wasn't it so they went and got it. Hill is proving Tua ain't it either but it looks like Miami will pay him anyways. I said it's all about the QB and then the rest. The WRs just help those QBs and should help the team evaluate their QBs. Purdy just failed big time and that is a stacked roster. If the Viks new QB can't be it with Jefferson then he doesn't stand a chance without him. It's not about the WR carrying the team to a SB but the WR setting the young QB up for success and making it easy to eevaluateif they are it because that is the most important part of building a modern SB champ. They overspent but it was a luxury they could afford. If you think bringing in a rookie QB and letting your best WR go in the process then you didn't learn anything from the Moore debacle. If Young had a legit WR last year then half the BS about not knowing would be gone this year. I would rather pay to know then just hope. In a perfect world the organization could draft well enough to set up a Cheifs Mahhomes rookie cast or the 49ers but those are really the exceptions and not the rule, the dream I guess.
