I will admit, I love the diehard fandom homers give toward Cam. Respect. You will die on your rock.

Meanwhile, like any diva WR in recent history who makes a scene on social media or in public, other NFL fans want to steer clear. Teams too. Cam is no different IMHO.

But yeah, you guys keep backing your boy no matter what. Props.

Not sure what the intent of the video was.  But in point of fact there is very little footage of Cam actually throwing the ball.  A lot more footage of some guy catching passes with no clear indication of what types of routes or depth or . . . anything.  It was more of a fan hype video than anything that will make a scout go "Oh, maybe I should go watch".

Is it a shame that he had to take the beating he took and go out at less than his best?  Sure, of course.  But all indications are that he just isn't an NFL QB any longer.

I'm afraid Cam may just be one of those guys who has real trouble letting it go.

And yes, I think there is some truth to the thought that Cam is too big a personality to be a backup QB.  Cam himself is the one who cultivated that over his career.  It's not a bad thing when you are 2015 Cam.  But in 2023 - eight years past his prime - he's going to have a very hard time being the quiet, humble mentor.

The “some guy” catching the passes is his little brother who is a WR in the 2023 draft. He was throwing to him at the pro day as well

If he was that good then you honestly think there would be 32 teams passing on him? Let’s not forget how bad his season with the patriots was. I think he only had 2 games where he threw for over 200 yards and I think 6-8 games where he threw for less than 100 yards. He’s not good anymore.

There are starting QB's who do that now and still have a job aka Justin Fields.

Damiere Byrd and N'Keal Harry were his starting receivers with a bunch of JAGs at TE. How is Cam supposed to throw for 300 yards a game? The Patriots offense wasn't built to be a passing offense it was a run first offense because they had no weapons and a QB who only had 5 weeks to prepare for their first game. Cam put up 3300 yards and 21 TDs in that offense which is on par with what Mac Jones has been doing since he took over. And they brought in several skill position players since then. Please stop spreading your uneducated opinion around we've got enough people like you on this message board

Making “a scene”? Because the guy post some of his workouts and believes in himself? Lol

The major issue with Cam is his presence and personality.  Lots of these kids grew up playing him in Madden and idolizing him.  How do you trot out a young guy who is struggling when you have Cam there ready to roll, smiling like a million bucks, looking like your custom designed character, and his infectious energy?

i understand that Cam wants to start, but he’s not going to be a franchise guy anymore.  He could be a gadget player and backup at this point in his career.  He could probably give 5-6 starts at most a year and keep you in it.  But his shoulder is still a major concern.

I love Cam.  He is the best an we’ve ever had.  But Father Time is undefeated.

Coming on just to say this---8 pages so far?  Cam is 34.  Good luck to him, but Cam is not a backup in this league because he lacks the ability to be a backup---his personality is so strong, he would be a distraction even if that is not his intent.  If people who need a QB are not bidding on Lamar Jackson, I doubt Cam gets any attention. Maybe he is doing this for a midseason injury.
