We gave rhule how many years and you guys want to bail on the coach after 3 games? This is going to take time. Everyone complained when Jerry wouldn't open his check book and now you have an owner that can't keep it closed and still complain. Reich has a plan and that plan wasn't a Superbowl year 1 of the rebuild. Give it time. There's a lot of football heads in the building now, they will right the ship.
Hiring Reich was an over-correction from the Rhule hire.
The staff they put together on paper is quite impressive but they have under delivered. Reich needs to take a hard look in the mirror and will ultimately need to hand over playcalling (and probably work with Brown to re-tool our rushing attack) before we see any improvement.
The elephant in the room is how completely devoid of talent we are....and the blame for that goes straight to Scott Fitterer.
If Wilks was Head Coach I promise we would be running the ball and running it well. We wouldn't have overpaid Miles Sanders by about $22 million.
14 rushing attempts to 58 passing attempts isn't "we can't run the ball". It's a failure of the coaching staff. If you flip those numbers, you're sure that you've won the game. 35 rushing attempts should be the target each week.
And if you want to know why it's failing its because running out of the shotgun is a losing endeavor in the NFL.
