Young. I think he is a good prospect just Stroud is equally good without the size concerns. Now if it was between trading up for Young or staying at 9 and managing to get AR (doubt he lasts until 9)  then that could be a tough call.

I would chose Young as he is much better than the other two. I just think Stroud is better than him.

easily Young at 1 overall lol 

The debated is between Stroud and Young at 1. Richardson and Levis are projects, if we were still at 9 it would be a debate between them. Though I very much prefer Richardson over Levis

I think the debate is actually between Young and AR (who is a distant second) at 1

I actually think the Panthers played their hand well with the Stroud stuff. They didn’t want Houston to think they were coming up to 1 for Young. Especially since the deal took a while to come together. So out of fear of Houston moving to 1 and Chicago trying to trade back twice, Carolina convinced everyone Stroud was who they wanted

I agree with you, if you have conviction Bryce will be the pick go make yourself some money. 

 

Me personally I will be happy with either Stroud or Young. I'm just happy we traded up to #1 overall and aren't going retread again.

I completely agree with this. Houston may have screwed up by not securing the trade to one. There have been some media outlets (I'd have to go search for them) that aren't convinced that Stroud will be the pick if the Panthers take Young. There is speculation that they could go defense or trade down. It's interesting. I'm not fully convinced it has to do with who Strouds agent is, but clearly the Texans are not on board with the "1a and 1b" consensus.

      To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.

      Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
