I still want and very strongly think it should be Stroud or we'll look back on this in a few years as a terrible trade and draft pick.

But seeing FanDuel sportsbook has Young at -1500 odds right now, that's hard to ignore, Vegas doesn't make lines like that unless they're very confident.

Vegas reacts to the market. They don't want anyone else betting on Young (cos apparently a lot of people have bet big on it).

They have no inside sources themselves.

They also have Stroud at +700

If they thought there was a legitimate chance at him being drafted 1st by us, I don' think his odds would be anywhere near that high, would still be in the +200ish range

I mean couldn’t he just be lying ?

he is.  I dont know how people dont get this.  Young wouldnt cancel visits unless he knows hes getting picked.  Also it would be stupid for us to announce the pick now, its simple marketing.  As long as we dont commit to it, we're still the Prime talk of the NFL, so you keep people talking about the pick and your franchise.  Young will be the pick, and we wont announce it until we're on the clock, its as simple as that.

Source (although a newer one for me):

Young has not only canceled his remaining visits but is using that time looking for places to live in the area.

Again, not surprising, if I were him I'd also have cancelled other visits and also would be looking for homes in both Charlotte and Houston.

He knows with 100% certainty that short of a Tunsil type of video coming out and screwing him over in the next week, he's going to one of those two teams.

No reason to spend any more time flying around the country to meet with other teams and no reason to not get a head start on finding a home since he knows it will be one of two cities that he'll end up in.

If that is the case then why is there no news on it anywhere. Nice false statement.

I had Josh McCown as new QB coach before there was any news on it. Same for Parks Frazier and Thomas Brown for their respective positions.

But if you don’t want insider info, and just call it false statements that’s cool. I don’t need to post here anymore.

Any input about CJ Stroud? I haven't heard anything after his pro day about the Panthers continued interest in him. I have about Young and Anthony Richardson

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
