How excited are you to watch Panther football in 2023 compared to the dumpster fire we have had to endure since Cam had his career changing injury? Let’s all rejoice and love one another, this is going to be a magical week for us all. I know that many of you are miserable fugs who will not be happy in any circumstance, but let’s reflect for a moment on where we were compared to now.

We have an all star coaching staff compared to the years of suffering under Matt Rhule (this actually could turn out to be one of the best in franchise history), we have a team that can compete for a division championship right away, for the first time in YEARS we have a top half of the league O line, we have young players at many positions that are on the cusp of being elite, we have a possible franchise QB coming in who will be on a rookie wage for the next 5 years, and plenty of cap space next season.

A few years ago we were debating Heinkie vs Kyle Allen, or Teddy B becoming a starter again in the NFL, or the possibility of Sam Darnold being resurrected. Now I challenge even the biggest Young haters to look at things from a positive perspective: His hands are 9 and 3/4 inches, he has one of the largest brain in NFL history, and his package is rumored to be between 7-15 inches long. Times have changed, and what a complete turn around in one offseason. Cheers to the upcoming draft week!

Will Levis will be a Colt most likely.

We would be arguing whether to draft Bijan Robinson or a Cornerback lol

Being in the position we are now feels soooooo much better than having to sit at 9 and continue the QB carrousel that we have been on since daddy Cam left us

I prefer results. The man who hired/retained all those dumbass blunders is still here calling the shots. We are literally hoping he has learned, at the expense of fans, what other successful owners (and even arm chair GMs) already knew.

He is not backing off, so it’s clear he does not think he’s the issue, yet he is the common denominator. San Fran learned to back off and shockingly, they have success. We have to bank on Tepper either realizing that or actually call shots correctly.

Jury still out for me. We are undefeated off season champions since 1995. I’ll get exited when this team (and ownership) actually looks like it belongs in the NFL, which hasn’t happens for over half a decade.

No he’s not, Richardson is long gone.

I take exception to the nonsense that Byron Bell was disappointing.  The fact the franchise had to put him in the position of playing starter roles is the disappointment. When I look back on Bell I think he made the most of his time in the NFL.  Undrafted and played about 7ish seasons.  Dude should have been a good go-to bottom of the roster rotation guy and should never have been a starter.  That was not his fault. 

So as far as the glass half full goes, my cup runneth over for Byron Bell's football career.

      Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

      Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.

      Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
