That's another way of looking at it I guess

I'm still afraid of Bijan running for 300 yards in his debut against a newly formed 3-4 defense in their literal first game played together.

I ain't worried about a RB. I rejoiced when a division opponent drafted a RB high on R1.

They will probably make the Colts game later in the season for better chances that AR is the starter by then and had more time to develop since he needs the most development out of the top 3 QBs.

I agree with that, my pointing out of better opponents for storyline sake wasn't about the matchups being in week 2 but on MNF in general.  I'd think Bryce vs AR along with the Reich side of it on MNF is significantly more interesting than Bryce vs Carr and a divisional matchup early in the season.

yeah he is a rookie too, I expect big things from him but there is an adjustment period for almost every position. Only backs Ive seen who bucked the trend was zeke and barkley, both of whom were in there statistical prime during their rookie years.

I live and Florida and grew up outside of Jacksonville, trust me. it could be 81 that day.

yeah I've got a place in FL and have spent a ton of time there, it certainly could be 81 that day but it could also be 60 not ideal for outdoor pool. wonder if they're heated

    • Did you watch it? I saw stuff that was behind guys and stuff like that I thought it looked pretty average for NFL QBs but I am no PFF metric dog.
    • Haven’t watched the last two until last 3 mins of each game. Just been refreshing the NHL app. Do I change the mojo for tonight?
    • I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!
