So long to the kickoff

This sucks for guys who get drafted late who use special teams to get themselves noticed.

I guess this wont ever happen again.....

In 1995, newly appointed Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan drafted Terrell Davis in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL Draft.[6] Davis entered training camp as the sixth string tailback and was a long shot to make the team. He managed to impress the Broncos coaching staff after his second pre-season game, most notably with a crushing hit as a member of special teams.

Claim it's for "safety", yet Thursday Night games and turf is still prevalent.

Heard part of an interview today with Goodell.  He said there is no evidence of an increase in injuries in TNF games.  He said in fact, there were fewer injuries in those games.

I think Goodell would say that regardless since the TNF games have huge TV and streaming deals behind them.

So do you just completely avoid the huddle and twitter until 2pm? Don't think I could do it

I have never used twitter in my life and I'm convinced my life is better that way. Also yes on game days you'll notice I'm never on here til after the games. I enjoy the debate and discussion that goes on here, but not during the actual game. My friends even know not to call or text about the game before halftime.

Speaking of corporate shills, this is awesome

Lol, we used to call it skin-emax. I remember I could find it scrambled on like channel 5 and I knew if I watched after 10 or 11pm or something like that I would catch a scrambled boob here or there.

    • Yes. I went to those games instead of selling In 2018, it was hot  as hell and the Panthers had some ‘entertainment on the side of the stadium, like a street fair…I have never seen so many seriously obese people, men and women, in cowboy leggings and shirts   I swear, it was traumatic  I said to my friend with me ‘dear god, Cam. In the name of all that is holy, please win  this home game, if you never win another one, to shut these people up.   I stayed in a hotel sat and Sunday near stadium. Sweet Jesus  obnoxious …of course, when they lose,, there isn’t one sign of cowboys anything   worst fans ever,  they will be in Charlotte in force because even at the escalated price in Charlotte, , it was still cheaper than attending in Jerry ville
    • Jags WRs have twice as many drops plus some as the next closest team.
    • Very true about Pennington but I don’t think anyone traded a haul to move up in the draft to get him, that’s what gets me about young. I mean essentially we gave up cmc and moore, our two best offensive players, one of which is arguably one of the best in the league. Gave them up for a guy who hasn’t shown any reason for us to give up the haul to get him. It’s year three and we are seeing the same mistakes he was making year one game one.
