On a recent appearance on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, free-agent WR DeAndre Hopkins listed the five QBs he’d most like to catch passes from: the Bills’ Josh Allen, the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and the Chargers’ Justin Herbert.

Might be one of the Florida teams. No state income tax sometimes plays into it.

Great talent but it is kind of concerning that multiple organizations now have chosen to move on with little to no compensation. I realize Houston and Arizona aren't exactly model organizations but still. Kind of reminds me of Antonio Brown; all the talent in the world but multiple teams quickly deciding its not worth the hassle.

There aren't any reports of nutbag behavior like TO or Brown.

Hopkins is just expensive and not 100% of the time worth the price tag. Given his contract, I can understand the Cardinals cutting him. Not tradeable and detrimental to the cap long term.

These arguments get old. Same as the "X area is better than Y area!" We don't know what the personal motivations for most od these guys are. It might be family, taxes, area, who fuging knows?

We can guess the football reasons but speculation on people's personal motivations seems very useless.

No chance, none of the Florida teams make any sense.

Dolphins have Tyreek and Waddle, Bucs have Evans and Godwin, Jags have Ridley and Kirk.

I think most likely situation is that he signs a cheap 1 year deal with KC to try and win a SB with Mahomes and then goes for a bigger contract next summer.  At which point, if Bryce has a good rookie season, we would make a lot of sense for him to come back home and take Chark's roster spot.

I'd love to have Nuke but before we go there we need to get a edge. That's a bigger hole right now I think. If we can get a Floyd or Houston and Nuke, I'd be really happy but I don't see it happening unfortunately.

I want to go all in on supporting our young QB that we've mortgaged the future of the franchise in the near to mid-term to trade up to get.

It's not just about trying to compete this year IMO.

would be awesome for sure.

do not see this happening, though.

could be that they get the ok to give him a giant 2-3 year deal. tepper's all about throwing that cash around and if we've got the cash/cap space, i see him saying "make it happen...whatever it takes, make it happen".

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
