you say this but the data tells a different story... year over year Panthers are worth more to the NFL than the following teams when its comes to total revenue:

  • Detroit Lions - $452 million ($114 million)
  • Cincinnati Bengals - $462 million ($89 million)
  • Arizona Cardinals - $467 million ($112 million)
  • Buffalo Bills -  $470 million ($83 million)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars -  $471 million ($114 million)
  • Tennessee Titans - $481 million ($115 million)
  • Indianapolis Colts - $484 million ($100 million)
  • New Orleans Saints - $490 million ($125 million)
  • Los Angeles Chargers - $491 million ($156 million)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers - $492 million ($62 million)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers - $494 million ($135 million)
  • Kansas City Chiefs - $495 million ($135 million)
  • Minnesota Vikings - $500 million ($141 million)
  • Carolina Panthers - $501 million ($139 million)

What this tells us is that the Charlotte market is a very healthy Market for the NFL. They would not want to risk any transition revenue. When the Chargers and Rams moved from their original locations the NFL lost money. NFL isnt in the business to lose money.

And would the franchise make less if it moved somewhere else.

And fwiw, We have seen in the past that the NFL as a whole doesn't necessarily decide if, when and where teams move.  Usually the teams themselves decide, and the owners give assent.  And I don't remember the owners ever not giving assent if one of their fellow owners want to move.  The Chargers move was idiotic, and yet the other owners still agreed.

Regardless, I don't think the team is moving.

Here comes the fleecing and yet another government handout to a billionaire while that same government entity will say they don't have the funds for infrastructure and other basic community needs.

And here comes CashNewton pulling up to whatever the name of the stadium is still being a Panthers fan regardless of the situation being glad they didn’t leave lol

With LA gone the real price is Austin/San Antonio. But there is no way that happens before while Jones is alive as it eats into "his" market.

The smart business move is to just sit for now and either move out demand a lot of money when it does.

The fleecing comment may be true,,  but it's also how business is done in the NFL and has been for a very long time.  We can paint Tepper a bad guy if we like, but he won't be doing anything different that the other owners do. It's just part of the having an NFL team in todays world in my opinion.

Pretty sure Charlotte is like the 9th largest city in the US. Could be wrong, i didn't look it up.  I know I've heard that before though. Also, Atlanta is relatively small. The difference is all of the cities/towns/areas surrounding Atlanta are also close to Atlanta's size and much bigger than the places surrounding Charlotte. This makes it way more crowded and seem like a larger city.

    • I have not seen a good fit yet as a HC hire. Honestly, Saleh is probably the best one and that’s not saying much. Miami- Hired a DC with an average defense. Check the rest of his resume. It also doesn’t solve your main problem at QB with Tua/Ewers, etc. Clear downgrade from Mike McDaniel. The owner obviously thought he had a shot at Harbaugh and fired McDaniel to throw his hat in, Waller has an interview that gives the impression of this. Atlanta- Stefanski has won like 6 games in 2 years. Carried a few years ago by his defense. Defense has gotten older and he got exposed. Brought into Atlanta with a DC he didn’t hire. No idea what they are going to do at QB, no 1st round pick, a lot of resigning. Oh and their Dan Morgan/John Lynch/ John Elway guy is Matt Ryan who has not worked in the front office at all. At least Dan was a scout, director, asst GM, etc. New York-Not bad really but he’s only going to be as good as his OC. Joe Schoen is still the guy getting your talent, and good luck playing Dak Prescott, The Eagles D, and Jayden Daniels 6 times per year with the NY media writing about everything you’ve done wrong. Tennessee- meh. Probably should have gotten an OC to develop Ward but Saleh can at least make this team aggressive and physical again. I doubt many wanted the job. If Saleh fixes the culture and gets a decent play caller he will be okay. The GM there seems promising. If I had to rank the rest of the openings I’d say: 1-Pittsburgh: Enough talent to be competitive. Have some things to fix at key positions but long history of success and winning is in that building. Plus, you get Baltimore and Cleveland twice per year (I’ll get to that). 2-Baltimore: What in the ever living hell makes you think it’s time to walk away from Harbaugh. He didn’t leave like Tomlin, you fired him then the owner joked about it at the press conference. Who did you ever think you were going to get better than him. Somebody to support Lamar? Like drive him to the practices he never attends? 3-Buffalo I mean you get Josh Allen but they promoted Beane to be their Morgan and if you watched the Press Conference today the owner made Tepper look like Arthur Blank. Basically said he fired McDermott just over losing to the Broncos. Beane got up there and poo on a few players. The two leading candidates are Joe Brady, your current OC and Brian Daboll, your former OC who just got done running a circus on the other side of the state. Like the Ravens, who did you think you would get that was better? 4-Las Vegas Spytek seems competent as a GM and Brady is in the building but there is a real stink culture built into that organization that somebody is going to eventually have to fix. It seems like everyone that gets close (Gruden, Carroll, Pierce) gets fired. At least you have a shot with a potential Franchise QB in Mendoza. 5-Arizona Gannon just collapsed. Don’t know what happened, but it seems like Kyler is gone with no real plan in place. Maybe resign Brissett? Maybe take another down year and just rebuild the roster? Who really knows. I don’t see them having any shot landing a big fish, I honestly forget they don’t have a HC half the time. 6-Cleveland There’s a reason McCarthy and McDaniel turned them down. Still have Watson on the books. Have to deal with the Shaduer fans and haters. Aging defense. Don’t imagine Schwartz will stay on as DC if he is turned down, so there that goes. Honestly, I think Schwartz by the only guy that wants the job.
