Hey guys, it's 2011 not 2015.

Sorry, this isn't a guaranteed losing season, we're somewhere between 7-10 and 10-7.  1-22 we're a decent team, and while our O-line looked like absolute dog poo, this O-line was a decent unit last year, I don't think they'll continue to be awful.  Aside from that, especially on offense, we didn't really see anything.  Its hard to grade any other position when the O-line was getting blasted because the QB couldn't make reads and show what he has, RBs had no holes, and receivers didn't have time to get in their routes, so how do we know what we have at literally any other position besides OL that just on paper should be much better than how they performed.

Lets see how they look when live rounds are flying then we'll talk.

I don't think y'all will be as bad as most are saying. Could easily see y'all winning at least 7 again, possibly 8 or maybe even 9 games. Thankfully as weak as the NFC South is, our teams also have a relatively weak schedule rotation this year (AFC South and NFC North who both have a lot of question marks in both divisions) so a few ugly wins could be had in some of those games.

The toughest part of y'all schedule is due to finishing 2nd in the division last year resulting in y'all having to play Seattle and Miami, who despite both winning only 9 games last year, were deceptively solid teams.

If you had one of the top 10 worst run Ds in the NFL or horrific QB play….the Wilks Panthers might could get you.  We weren’t good.

Ayeee, we had both of those last year! And that's the cold hard facts about it because y'all got our ***es twice because of it. That 10-7 game was honestly embarrassing on both accounts. 😪

Thankfully though y'all took two players that factored into both those poor metrics off our hands for us so I do have so say thanks. 😅 And Atlanta took the other one. 🤣

Coaching staff all offseason: "We're going to compete, we have the pieces in place to compete." Most outlets during the offseason: "Carolina should compete for the Division and the Playoffs." Jeremy Igo after one preseason game: "Chill guys. Treat this like 2011."

Lol. Wut?

We beat Seattle on the road with Sam Darnold last year. This isn't you in your early 20's Seattle team, this is the Geno Smith Seahawks, which is just average at best.

Prior to that Bridgewater caliber performance….he played in 44 games, made a pro bowl, made the postseason, played with a GOAT, etc.

I don’t think that’s fair to Bryce to think at a minimum he should be Teddy out of the gate.

Teddy Bridgewater never went over 15 TD's before he came to Carolina. You can overrate the poo out of him if you want though.

LOL No one is overrating Teddy.  He was a game manager.

But it’s silly to think a rookie walks on the field week 1 and is the consistent game manager type that a veteran, experienced and good game manager was.

Bryce has a ton to learn and it takes times.  Expect higher highs and lower lows than Teddy. People are equating what we think Bryce will be for in the future with what the will be this season.   That’s not how the rookie QB thing works.

I think a Rookie in 2023 that has Bryce's traits, and starts every game can get to 15 TD's. EASILY.

If Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Mac Jones, RG3, Dak Prescott can all get over 15 TD's. Bryce can do it.

Unless the O-Line plays like they did on Saturday, which I think is just a one off.

The man went 594 consecutive snaps without allowing a sack his rookie year as our LT and you think he is overrated?  We had a solid young OL last year (I think we were ranked 11) and now we are returning all starters with our OL coach.  It may take a minute to learn the new schemes but calling our potential franchise LT overrated seems odd??

I saw him get beat like a drum on Saturday and numerous times at pivotal moments. There is a difference in allowing a sack and allowing pressure. He got Bryce toasted on a damn bagel twice in three plays.

You can argue what your eyes show you all day but I know what I saw and it was ugly.

You are talking about 1 preseason game.  The very first preseason game.  I am talking about a whole season's worth of data and stats.  I mean I watched Mahomes and the Chiefs starters get shut down by the Saints defense.  Keep making long term judgement calls over a couples series in a meaningless game though and let me know how that works out for you....

This will be a losing season, just like 2011 was.

The fun in it is that we get to watch a young team grow into what we hope will be a playoff team.

By year 3 I suspect we will be there.

bit different b/c the division sucks. progression can happen at 9-8 with growing pains. i'm sick of not being in the playoffs.

People said Wilks had to make the playoffs just to keep his job. And he took over mid season. Frank said we expect to contend sooner than later. Theilen signed here because that was his pitch. Im sorry but we need to improve as a team not take a step back. I expect Frank to be a better coach than Wilks.

All fine and good, but you have to realize that personnel changes, experience changes, the schedule changes, and other teams don't stand still.

If you look top to bottom, most people outside of Panthers land will likely say that the Saints are the one's to beat in the NFCS this season. They will likely also tell you that only one team out of the NFCS is making the playoffs.

The dude also held his own against Myles Garrett week 1 as a rookie. He’s not the bum you’re making him out to be.
