Which is crazy considering we have a Sean Mcvay disciple and Jim Caldwell on staff.  No reason to not have a creative playbook.  Only thing I can think of is Frank really is that bad at calling plays

I am gonna lay this on Frank at the moment. Playcaller gets the criticism for shitty playcalling.

Not only is he terrible at calling plays, he is also the boss and probably believes he is the best at it. Not a good combination.

This is 1.5 games of even the announcers subtly being critical of our playcalling.

That's not an accident. It's not all horrific but too much of it is.

Our play calling is poo. Both on defense and offense. They expect players to make them look good.

When the “Swiss Army knife” isn’t even being accounted for… you know the coaches didn’t do their homework.

entire offense is just short and intermediate mesh intermingled with some ineffective screens.

there’s no clear out routes, no seam beaters, idk if they don’t think they have the protection up front or what, but the box is loaded and they keep sending backs and receivers running right into it

Part of the reason I didn't want Bryce was because according to the advanced stats, he had the lowest completion pct to sideline throws of all the draftable QB prospects in the draft.  And iirc, it was by a lot.  So everything being condensed and focused over the middle may be by design...  whatever the reason, the plays look like poo, the blocking looks like poo, and Bryce looks like poo.  I don't want to hear poo about him being a rookie - fuging Brock Purdy came into playoff-level football and didn't miss a fuging beat last year.  Bryce is playing like ass.
