Every time is see a foot in mouth post from a guy with the username of "MasterAwesome" it's especially comical. It's hard to take a username like that seriously

Oh trust me, I know he won't be. You're forgetting just how cocky a lot of Panthers fans were a month ago. Anyone questioning preseason performance was mocked for not understanding how the NFL works, yet Stroud threw an early preseason INT so he's clearly a bust. We had all kinds of red flags but many were just blind to them. Hell, a few still are.

Lol I just saw this cause Linville likes to sheepishly call people out without quoting them, so it's easy to miss it.  First off, of course I'm not embarrassed because there quite objectively wasn't anything incorrect about what I said.  It's not my fault you can't follow a basic "If-Then" statement.  It's not a prediction.  The fact that you guys thought to dredge up this comment as an example of me putting my foot in my mouth actually makes me considerably more cocky, not embarrassed.  Like damn, this is really what you think you got me on?  If your objective was to humble me, you very much did the opposite.

But more importantly, why the hell would I want you to take my *username* seriously?  That's actually hilarious.  I couldn't care less what you think of my username because I myself couldn't care less about my username or anyone's username.  That's the point...I made this account a dozen years ago based off my Xbox Live account that I made when I was a teenager  Sure it's cringey, much like an adult who critiques internet usernames.  If I knew legit 40-year-olds were going to bully me about it then I would've made something cooler like "Fingerblaster69" or something.  I know for those who are terminally online and whose very identity is in many ways tied to their username because their lives revolve around this message board, it's hard to wrap your head around that sentiment.  I remember seeing a little while back that you were at a UNC football game but the entire time your head was in your phone rage-posting a play-by-play commentary in the Huddle gamethread.  That pretty much sums you up as a person.  Over 67,000 posts on an internet message board and I'm the one who should be embarrassed...about my username.  To that I can only say..."oh wee mayne".

How is this a foot in mouth? Basically said IF the test reflects QB play this year then the S2 would become a major draft component. It didn’t so it won’t.

Shrugs GIF

Just in case I get banned for bullying LinvilleGorge (k00L a@# username btw), I appreciate you brother.  I want you to have my stash of crusty Playboys under my mattress if I disappear.

I always love the irony of someone writing a novel on a message board attempting to mock someone for posting on a message board. That's good stuff.

Yeah, its really not ideal. I remember the early Tepper days, much excitement, much hope lol. Now... feels like he can't make a single right decision. Its kind of crazy, like you would think just out of law of averages, he would get something right lol.

I don't remember any celebration at all in the early Tepper days. All I remember is a ton of anger that a brash Yank was picked over local-ish Navarro to buy the team from local-ish JR. Tepper hasn't helped himself a lot since then, and the rest is history.

I'm just hoping Tepper doesn't overreact to DJ going off tonight and makes a stupid trade next week because of it.

He needs to just realize that we're not a good team right now and we probably won't be for a few years.  Stop trading away future assets, trade players like Burns for picks and build up this team the right way.

Basically what we should have done instead of trading it all away to get Bryce.  Should have kept CMC, kept Moore, kept the rest of our picks and figured out QB another way, we'd be a much better team right now and in the future.

But we didn't do that and it can't be fixed with one move or even in one offseason, we just need to do it right.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
