This isn't Bryce Youngs fault

All he had to do was half the combine stuff to make his hype disappear so yeah he played his part and made it way worse for himself.

Too much blame for the Teppers, FO and coaching staff to really matter.

I can't blame a guy for not showing up to tank his stock. Honestly, I don't think it would've mattered anyway. Tepper was smitten.

It's honestly not. He can't help that he's 5'10" 180 with a noodle arm. There's only so much you can make up for. This gaffe is on the talent evaluators.

This isn’t Scott Fitterers fault.  He isn’t capable of evaluating talent and he was just put in this position by David Tepper.  Lol

He put on weight to try and fool teams, then refused to compete at the combine. He's not completely responsible, but he definitely has a hand in what we're seeing now.

Agreed. The combine thing still urks me and the way the season has played out just makes it look worse.

Here’s the thing about that test. I don’t necessarily think the S2 test is worthless. Might be, but maybe not.

The thing is…”processing speed” only matters if you are athletic enough to play in the NFL.

Young isn’t half the athlete Corral is. Their arms aren’t even comparable.

And Corral isn’t even in the league anymore. Not even sure he’s alive tbh.

The wrong pick can set you back a decade...lets HOPE YOU ARE ALL WRONG and he's the right pick!!!!!  #KeepPounding

7 games in we've seen enough to know at best he's the 4th best qb from the draft and we traded the fuging farm for him

I mean, honestly you're not wrong even if you're trying to be a smartass. Everything football related has tanked since Tepper came aboard. He's the root of the problem.

Don't ever pick a QB #1 with obvious physical limitations and who ducks the combine.

Stupid move

I can. It was a good move to get that #1 money but he may have screwed himself in the ling run. Can you imagine if he went in the 2nd and didn't have that trade hanging over his name forever?

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
