Not to single you out, but this is the stuff that gets me here. So many opinions based on stuff that is just not true and has been posted in here before.

It was said many times in here that one of the main reasons Reich was hired was because he already had his staff set when he came to the interviews. That was considered a plus that he had already done that. Do you now think Tepper picked his staff for him or do you believe the multiple reports that Frank was already prepared with his staff? Pretty sure Tabor and Campen were the only holdovers and it was pretty much universally lauded in here to keep those two.

I'm not stating it as a fact.  I'm just saying, if there is anything I would believe, it is that.

And why would I believe it?  I don't know.  Some of the hires just felt... odd, you know?  Like almost too good on paper.  Usually retreads hire guys they worked with in the past.  Hell, HCs in general when they first start a job.  Look at Rivera's coordinator choices when he arrived... Chud, who he worked with in San Diego, and McDermott, who he worked with in Philly and schematically their philosophy was similar.  Rhule when he got here brought Phil Snow and others with him from Baylor. Joe Brady was a little outside the box, but it still made sense given Rhule didn't have many OC connections and Brady was a college coach looking for an NFL opportunity.

Reich went with Thomas Brown, who he had never worked with and had no working connection to him (whether through McVay or anyone else), and Evero, again another guy he doesn't have any connection to. And although he worked with Jim Caldwell, I always found it odd how he interviewed for the head coaching job here and then was added to the staff.  Like are we sure it wasn't a suggestion from Tepper?

I agree with you that there is no evidence behind any of this.  Nobody should take what I'm saying as anything other than me just making a hunch.  I just feel that Reich's hires didn't really make a lot of sense when you consider most HCs are bringing in familiar faces (which isn't a bad thing; you work best with people you are familiar with).

The problem is Frank himself said otherwise.   He got to pick his own staff and money was not an issue.

So i have some interesting information to give....First i dont know how many of you keep up with these panther fan Podcasters but Big Kat aka Panthers uncensored is the name of his channel had an interesting guest on his show yesterday. This guy claims to work in the Panthers dining where the players and staff eat everyday and is certified chef. He says that the mood is DEAD in the building. Tepper has pretty much been a cancer to the place in his opinion and definitely has his hands in everything. He says that the players do not want to be here, referenced guys like Burns, Chinn, and Jackson. Says that he even overheard Burns talking about it and Chinn is pretty much not even hurt...He just doesnt want to play along with other guys like Horn. He says far as Reich goes he was dead man walking the moment he got here, he had no say in his staff selection and definitely WANTED STROUD over bryce. Frank just never believed in Bryce and Bryce knows this himself so therefore he doesnt want to be here either. Says the confidents level in bryce is pretty much non existent, the players dont know what to make of him but they are going to rally behind because he is the Qb whoever it is. Far as the staff goes, he say its a situation of too many cooks in the kitchen trying to overrule each other, nobody is on the same page. Its way too much tension in the building. He also has never seen Frank and Scott together so there is hardly any communication between them. I can keep going but thats just the main points of what i heard.

Once again, my disclaimer is that you can take this how you want it. The guy didnt sound like he was making it up and referenced a lot of things about his job and coworkers.

Here is the link to the stream.  The guest comes on at the 1:35:00 mark.

I know you’re just relaying what you heard so this isn’t directed at you, but lol at a chef from the dining hall having that level of info.

I ain’t gonna lie.

I spoke with JJ earlier this year about stroud vs young and my neighbor who works for the panthers and they’ve been consistent that stroud was the consensus pick and there was no conspiracy behind it.

we just gotta accept it and move forward.

Can you share the name of the neighbor?

I will gladly pay, if course

You're not getting it, dude.

How you feel about their feelings doesn't really matter. What does is that they have other options and would rather play somewhere else.

The gist of that is not that they're crybabies, it's that The owner is running a sh-tty organization.

The people hurt most by that?

Us 😕

First, You are in no position to tell anyone what they ‘do or do not get’

..but you really, really like to do that.

Fact is, everyone has  choices   If you choose to feel ‘hurt’ by something you have no control over that’s on you.

I had choices too.   To some, I  made a poor one.  I  have paid for season tickets and PSLs for 24 years and that also came with gas, hotel, food and time, given that,  I certainly need no lecture from you on what fans feel or the ‘hurt’ fans feel or the impacts of a poor team or owner.

…and yes, those players  are whining.  They are over indulged, from the time they could play a sport, millionaires

if they are just so, so miserable, ask for a trade, sit out, leave

…and guess what, there are hundreds of others who would be more than glad to take their place and probably better then they are

But, there is the small issue that they  signed a contract (willingly) so fuging honor it.

Note to them, life isn’t fair.   You play the hand you have.  You are responsible for your choices.  No one else.  Don’t  like your situation, change it or change your attitude.

Where pro sports are concerned, they are not victims.  Neither am I.

That's kind of the point.

When you have a sh-tty organization, good players with better options will do exactly that.

Now, you can rage and lecture players about being spoiled and try to convince them that they should just suck it up and come work here rather than somewhere better because reasons, or you can actually try to make the organization better so that good players and coaches will want to come here.

I'll give you three guesses which of those options tends to be more effective...

I'm not sure if I can support this team anymore. We have an owner/head honcho man who is clearly a narcissist and doesn't know how to reflect, look in the mirror, and change his failing ways. You can't steer a ship if the captain is in over his head.

With the NFL in decline and the current conditions of the economy, might be a good time to take a step back and do something else on fall Sundays.

As Panthers fans in 2023, we are basically rooting not for the team, but for a billionaire hedge fund manager and probable narcissist to pull his head out of his ass and stop interfering in football decisions after half a decade of being the worst team in all 4 major sports (We actually just dropped below a .300 win percent since 2019 with the loss last Sunday, congrats Dave!). This is, of course, after he murdered the previous culture of the team in cold blood, showing zero regard for the existing fanbase or region as a whole.

Yeah, there's not much to root for there. This is the first time I've ever seriously questioned my fandom before. Why in the blue hell would I want to cheer for David Tepper?
