Who we should have drafted? (Sarcasm while crying)

I was reading some interesting stats this morning and was shocked at how bad these numbers really were. Here is a comparison of Bryce Young vs Tommy DeVito….Yes THE Tommy DeVito. Undrafted QB who didn’t make the original 53 man roster in September.

What blows my mind is a team that’s had a fetish for top athletic analytical scores decided QB was the spot where we said screw it, let’s draft a short, weak armed QB who was surrounded by talent. Guy can’t scramble, can’t deep arm a ball, can’t power in a strike, what made him special outside of his brain which is slowly being Carr’d.

Just wanted to say, if you add in his performance from Sunday, those numbers for Bryce are even worse now…..

With all that being said I know Bryce is in an extremely tough spot and I still hope we can turn it around in year 2 if we get him some help, but it does not look good at all.

We should’ve held at 9 and waited until this year when the draft features multiple top QB prospects.

With the stuff we're hearing from Dianna Russini today, I'm no longer sure it even matters who we drafted.

Hell, we had a great offensive line built last year but look at things now.

I agree. This team wasn't ready to go get their guy. Too many holes and no true #1 WR that could consistently beat press coverage - yes, that's even with DJ Moore. 

Should have beefed up the team with offensive playmakers/WRs, Offensive/Defensive linemen, and a true inside LB. Then, draft your guy at QB. 

But with all that said, I think Bryce will be fine if the Panthers are smart and aggressive in the offseason.

Don't tell @frankw that D.J. Moore is not a true WR1. He will have conniptions.

I've always said that Moore needed more consistency. We needed another true WR1 when we had him. If the Bears somehow land Harrison Jr., that would likely free up Moore to be the high end WR2 that he's proven to be. As for us, we need a WR1 and a WR2, a legit TE...basically everything.

Stay at 9, keep Moore (even though I was fine with losing him), and draft BPA.
