Did the wide receivers magically get good?

Well he has been hurt a lot of the year....which is not super surprising

I think the offense is finally working to his benefit too. He's had some very impressive catches the last couple weeks, and especially this week.

Despite Reich throwing him under the bus he didn't quit on the team and I think that is showing in his play.  Of course a professional shouldn't, but still.

Gave up 500 yds last week to baker and made a giants backup qb look like tom brady but hey dont mention how bad the defenses are... you can only do that with andy dalton and other qbs.

I mean you ask anyone around here last week and they'd tell you BY would struggle to put up 200 yards against a college defense. Baby steps. Yesterday was a big day for Bryce and our offense. Hopefully it's a sign of things go come

I was going to say part of the reason was the defensive scheme of the most unpopular man in Packer land, Joe Barry. The funny thing, though, is that I saw a lot more man-to-man that I expected yesterday. I searched and confirmed that they did actually went more man against us.

I cant disagree. All im saying we need to consistently see more.

Bryce consistently made NFL caliber throws in to tight windows with confidence, with timing. It’s so completely different and unrecognizable from what we’ve seen up to this point. It was like trying to compare a kiwi fruit to a king cobra.

I think the entire offense finally has a philosophy and identity that suits their talent.

We finally saw Bryce throw on schedule with confidence. The receivers are talented. Chark and Thielen aren’t bums. This Sullivan cat… where did this guy come from? Practice squad call up? He’s got gamer vibes all day. When he’s open, He gets WIDE open. Mingo hasn’t shown me anything promising, Chuba now catching everything that comes his way.

The receivers are talented. They are good players. Today was just different, and it built on some things we saw last week.

Yesterday was a step in the right direction, regardless of who they played. I hope it continues.

I think it also helps having a formidable rushing attack. GB was sending rush blitzes quite often, and the defense as a whole focused primarily on making us one dimensional. They succeeded, however, didn’t expect Bryce and the WRs to take off in the passing game.

Receivers didn't get good all of a sudden. Thomas is using guys like they SHOULD be used and not just forcing concepts, like Chark being a deep route guy. He isn't that right now. And whoever is making the personnel decisions... where have you been? The improved protection is making the QB and the receivers look light years better. And no idea why Marsette wasn't getting burn. We all could see it, but Reich couldn't. He needs to be a key cog in the offense. Easily the best playmaker on the team.

I think the extra second the o-line is giving Bryce is helping him see maturation in the routes and route concepts that he previously had no chance to observe. You can tell he’s still late in his decision making, but you can see his excitement when he sees what he expects to see, and now that can he see the offense working it’s giving him greater confidence in the scheme.

    • I do believe that Evero gets canned before the end of the season and Capers takes over the D. I think the stage is set for Evero to fall on the sword for a 4-7 win season.  Not saying it would be a set up but I do think if that transpires, the seat under DC might start getting pretty warm, rightly or wrongly. That's my read on Tepper. I am not at all excited nor am I dreading anything. I just have extremely low expectations so I am just waiting to see what this revision of the roster looks like.  I FEEL like we are better on paper than last season's team but I wouldn't be remotely shocked if we were as bad or worse. Again, I do think this is the 2nd worst roster in franchise history overall. What will really make me happy is for some of the big questions to finally be answered(Bryce, Ikey, Horn, etc). I would like to see a real expansion of our core player pool(basically just D. Brown currently). I want to see a couple of hits in free agency and a couple in the draft. If we accomplish those things, I have faith that we are at least moving in the right direction after many, many years doing the opposite.
    • Considering our depth. Certainly kick the tires.
    • I am not so sure about that. I don't know that he is so soley offensively focused as winning focused. But, not really in a productive way. I get the impression he wants to be like Robert Kraft and take credit for "taking a risk on Bill Belichick" and being successful.  His track record indicates that in the NFL and in his business life.
