At what point did you figure out Tepper is a piece of shitt

Recommended Posts

I knew early bc I’m friends with some Richardson era office people who were forced out and told me all the horror stories. I was totally done with him after he traded away CMC for day 2 and 3 picks. Lake Norman isn’t the same without him.

Title explains it all.

During the selling process. I was much much more in favor of the other front runner. Who was actually going to pay more but the other NFL owners wanted Tepper over him. The fact they wanted Tepper tells you all you need to know about him.

When I heard about the brass balls and Hamptons house tear down. I posted then that he was an asshole and I hated the choice. Of course I got poo reactioned all to hell. That first year when we were 6-2 and he was all over the cameras only to disappear when the season bottomed out just reaffirmed what I already thought about him.

When he started getting rid of the Keep Pounding players Luke/TD/Olsen/Cam.

He got rid of the voices and we have gone downhill since. You have to have stability in the locker room. Yeah TD/Olsen were aging but you need those guys for leadership.

People will gripe but if there were secondary effects it quite possibly would’ve been the loss of a draft pick.

Umm he didn't get rid of the Luke though... Luke left on his own for health reasons

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
