Word was we were offering Burns mid-20s. I'm honestly not sure we'd still have that offer on the table at this point.

2024 franchise tag for DE/OLB is $22-23m. I'd rather just tag him and work off that number. If he's still asking for $30m+, just keep him tagged and let him hold out.

I would take Tee Higgins at that number.  I think he's got the upside to make that contract look like a steal.  He's one of the few major moves available to us that I would be okay with taking.

But I don't see us being able to bring Higgins in.

Why even look at the top guys? The prove it to decent guys would be a huge improvement here. The top guys are best for filling out holes in rosters for contenders. The Panthers are not close to being contenders.

He's not on the list but with the similarities in stature and mobility I would not be surprised at all this offseason to see the panthers sign Russel Wilson.  It would help giving Young a guy in the room who is similar in stature and playstyle while we tailor the offense around those kind of strengths, but that's just my hunch.

I think we'll make one big splash and itll be at receiver.  I think we make a run at Tee Higgins and itll be a matter of whether he wants to win, or if he wants to get paid.  He'll get paid coming here, but if theres a comparable offer anywhere else I cant see him saying yes to us, so there will have to be significant overpay.  If Higgins falls through, We'll make a run at Evans or Ridley.  I think we'll get one or the other.  I also think we try to take in a high upside reclamation project like Chase Claypool on a prove it contract (probably similar to DJ Charks Contract).  O-line is gonna depend on the coach and scheme, we'll pick some low hanging fruit and hope one or 2 pan out because unfortunately thats the way you have to in the NFL with a lack of available O-Line talent.

A lot of these players will be resigned by their current team before free agency starts.

And a few will be tagged as well.

The list always looks bare once the signing period starts.

Besides one of my fav football minds said- " No team will allow great even good players to hit FA " He kept explaining if the player was a FA, it was a red flag. He also said there are rare exceptions too. Added another secret about FAs, it takes nearly all of them 1 full year to get their barrings. Given the league is mostly under 30, theres more issues with the short time window.

In short draft is best way.

Yea... just off a quick glance...

I want Josh Allen but if we cant sign Burns then Danielle Hunter and Byrce Huff would easily handle his production.

OL: Robert Hunt

RB: Derrick Henry and Donte Foreman. (Nah I just wanna see this combo)

WR... Hollywood Brown and Curtis Samuel

Speed on the outside, power up the middle.

Resign Shaq at vet min...resign Luvu... and pick up a CB for depth.

Then BPA all through the draft.

But the most unlikely for this front office. Post June-1 cut Moton and Jackson saves 27mil  cap space. Tag and try to trade burns or just cut. Miles cut. Chark cut.  Voila 100 mil to spend on Cousins, a wr and OL
