SOOOO many people on this site were adamant he wasn't a #1 WR lol

Those people don't know football. Look at the QBs he was playing with. Hell people trash Fields and he had a career year with him at QB.

Moore is the real deal. If he had a Mahomes/Burrow throwing him the ball he would probably be the best WR in football.

I mean Moore really struggles to score and that imo takes him out of the #1 conversation. But a lot of people think there are 32 #1 WRs just because technically there are but I feel the standards should be higher.

You absolutely cannot have or call a WR a #1 if they cannot make something happen in the end zone imo.

If you take away one game vs. the god awful Commaders, he had 5 TDs all season. Theilen had 4 and a few hundred less yards.

That said he still was still was not overpaid and is a solid offensive peice. It was stupid to trade him, unless we got Stroud.

Now the CMC trade and this franchise’s dumbass ability to use properly, along with the majority of the huddle saying he was just a running back that could be replaced by Foreman, and before that, Mike Davis (lol) was a millions times more baffeling.

It still blows my mind that we traded him and CMC instead of Burns. They would have been absolute game changers on this team for a long time. We couldn’t even score a single point the last two games……

It was infinitely more retarded because they were drafting a rookie QB. How does keeping Brian Burns, a tweener part time pass rusher they could have gotten 2 first round draft picks for, benefit a rookie QB? Scott Fitterer and the entire Panthers organization are certified retards. I don't usually use that word and it applies here. Their ability to construct a functional NFL football team is retarded compared to the rest of the NFL.

Argument the other way would be…to this date Moore has still never played with a very good passer.

and the Panthers play style who leaned to the ground game.

I mean, 89 who is our GOAT….in reality didn’t score a lot on per season basis.  He had 2 seasons scoring more than 7 TDs in a long 16 year career and one of those was just reaching 8.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
