you can always tell who the newer fans are by how quick they are to hedge their bets in the extreme on something

I remember the meltdown when Brandon beane looked like the front runner for GM.

also congratulations on the Huddle finally installing a poster in a position of influence within the organization

According to sources, Tepper captained the search for his next GM along with his wife, Nicole, team president Kristi Coleman, Panthers senior assistant coach and longtime NFL head coach Jim Caldwell and Mike Forde, who heads the search firm Sportsology.

The same people that traded up to draft a 5'6 QB with no arm talent. Benny Hill music should have been playing as background noise during the 'interview'. Good for Dan Morgan though. Being able to tell a narc billionaire what he wants to hear is proving to be a very lucrative skill around these parts.

Late to the party. Good for Dan. I hope he does a great job. He KNOWS football. Other GMs have not. Hopefully as an assistant he got a crash course in the business. That will be his toughest aspect. As for the Yes Man stuff ... we have zero idea. He was an assistant GM here. His opinions could have easily fallen on deaf ears. Now he only has one man to convince and hopefully can stand up to Tepper.

What is the opinion in this tweet based on, exactly? Would be curious to know.

Yeah that's 100% speculation.

If true, blech, with the fringe silver lining of them understanding his limitations and weaknesses and actually attempting to build to cover for them.

Well, it's interesting.  Thrilled for the legacy, but very curious to see how he does since he and Fitterer were so close.

Look, I wish Dan nothing but success.  We'll see what happens, but I am a little puzzled why we didn't go outside the organization.

Here's to hoping!

Be nice if he turned into our Ozzie Newsome...

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
