TD with a small role on the new staff?

I thought this was an interesting exchange. TD thanks Canales for ‘the opportunity’. He asks Canales to let him know if he can send him anything to help him and Canales says “mindset, mentality, you know what I mean?”. He says it as if he’s already asked TD to prepare something for him.

Probably a very small thing, but it’s nice if TD is getting involved to get these players on track.

You can’t not play as long as he did and not have something to offer. He’s never said anything dumb. I’d like to think he help guys find their pride/confidence.

Working back from those injuries was such an impressive feat. He even got Jeremy Chinned his first year but still was able to contribute.

We had such good fortune with those 4-3 linebackers it’s been incredible. Almost two decades of having someone that was near the top in terms of talent, usually felt like at least 2 guys.

I'd love to have him onboard in some type of role. The whole new staff is talking about instilling a tougher mentality. Who better to help with that than TD? The man literally has the scars to prove it. The ACLs, playing in the SB with his whole forearm stapled up from literally breaking his arm two weeks prior. Tougher than nails.

Dude dislocated his finger mid play while shedding a blocker, popped it back in and made a perfect form tackle.  Absolute beast of a player.

TD. DAWG! What an all out true warrior. Bad intentions. I’m not sure they build em like him any longer. This current team needs that fire. Please Morgan, put some dudes back on this team.

Every report of an older player coming back in some capacity is a reminder to me of just how far the team has sank talent wise.

Brown, Luvu and a healthy Horn are the only ones that measure up even a little to our past greats.

Those teams were built to compete with anybody. Speed and power. Imagine our current squad going against prime Brees in the dome.

    • This draft is 2023 all over again, it's not hard to see. QB's who don't grade out as high first round prospects while at the same time, the following draft class looks to be loaded with elite QB prospects. Drafting a QB just because you need one (or making a bad trade to make said draft pick), when there isn't one worthy of that draft pick, is how you ruin franchises, just look at us right now.
    • I upgraded to the S24+ a few weeks back. Very happy with it.
    • LOL... Yet again proving you can't look below anything than what you see on the surface Mock drafts ARE NOT draft grades They are what people think will happen.  They are mocking teams taking QB's in the top 5 of the draft because that's just historically how drafts go regardless of the grades on the QBs.  Almost every draft expert, even those mocking QB's going high, have said time and time again that none of these QB's actually grade out as those type of picks. This is again, where I say you don't like to actually read what I have to say, because I already explained it. 2022 the exact same thing happened, mock drafts had guys like Pickett and Willis going in the Top 5 because that's just what teams usually do, but GM's listened to their prospect grades and knew they weren't worth taking that high, so they didn't. It's not to say QB's won't go that high this year, but it's to say that they aren't graded out as elite QB prospects.   And yes, I've never said I'm not a T-Mac homer. But me being that doesn't change that he will be the highest graded offensive player in this year's draft, at a position we haven't been able to solve since we lost Smitty.  Taking him makes all the sense in the world, my bias aside.
