I hope. But damn man, I'm rapidly running out of hope.

New HC. New GM that might be his own man with a vested interest in returning the team back to the keep pounding days. . New guy handling contracts from a good program. Lots of talent at skill positions in the draft.

We're in a position to do better.

Getting multiple impact players in free agency with minimal cap space and not much draft capital??? They're going to have to do a ton of maneuvering with cuts and restructures to make that possible.

The crazy thing is last year I bet Fitterer thought he was doing really good by signing Theilen, Hurst, Sanders, DJ. Chark. On paper it must've sounded good but all it really did is muck up our Cap and make the team worse overall.  I'm hoping we don't have a repeat if this garbage and aren't just signing a bunch of mediocre to bad players to long term contracts .

It's not realstic but I wish they'd just bite the God damn bullet this year. Constantly restructuring everyone's contracts and signing bad free agents keeps us from having a lot more cap space for subsequent seasons.

And one thing about Tepper, he's made some bad decisions, but he's learned to bounce from an idea when it doesn't work and try something very different.

At some point something has to stick, right?

We humans tend to learn from our mistakes. Tepper has made a lot  of mistakes as the owner of the Panthers.  Let's hope he's been learning a lot too.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
