Let’s wait for the results.  We have been honeydicked by Fitts and Gettleman in first 1-2 years too.

This feels different though, you must admit. The cap is going to be in excellent shape, we aren't delusionally chasing wins by pissing away draft capital, and we've legitimately invested in the O-line (remember M. Kalil)

I will say Dan seems to be an upgrade at scouting vets of Fitt, and I'm going to guess he's got better relationships with the actual players as a peer. Only a couple degrees of separation as a player from a lot of these guys so I'm guessing players trust him a lot more than Fitt

Im concerned about Canales and how he will handle HC duties. He’s a proven QB whisperer but i wasn’t really impressed by his offense in TB.

Has he proven he is a QB whisperer?

Carolina is just where QBs have sucked.  Baker instantly went back to being Baker at LA and then Tampa.

This feels like the same ol same old if we are being honest.  Overpay for players.  Trading folks for less then market value.  Signing old players.

Yeah, people forget the hype and talk last offseason.  Fittterer was highly praised here overall.

I just didn’t see it then.  Don’t see it now.  Last time I really was optimistic was Rhule’s first year in that Covid season.  Suspect every offseason since.

Agreed but but but gotta be cautious.  Not getting my homes up.  Better be surprised.

This is what I keep saying. Do people just love to wallow in misery? Find something to do that makes you happy folks.

Some of you spout negativity with every post. If I was like that I think I’d avoid coming here. If you’re so convinced we will suck, go find something else to do.

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
