charlie campbell who is usually very well in tuned with the panthers even through owner and GM changes has us targeting a WR and CB in the 2nd round. So its not far off, however I would hate passing on one of the top 3 centers in this class when we have the opportunity to make our interior OL super solid

I like the centers that will available in the later rounds as well. But JPJ falls it would be hard to pass up in the second.

I don’t know I’m so hopeful but really hoping for great return on these 2nd rounders this year.  After seeing what Detroit got last year out of Laporta at 34 and Branch at 45 I for some reason have talked myself into thinking this regime can extract the same value with 33/39. Silly me I know. At some point we have to flip the script right?

Just gotta be law of averages eventually. We’re due to hit a couple

This center plan is getting my attention.

We are at Square 1 for the future right now. You hear continuity constantly cited as a major factor in OL success. You got 2 new guards and a new staff and it seems like having the C position in the fold too puts you in the optimal Square 1 and sets you up to succeed.

Corbett played some center in LA. I don’t know enough to say he is a bad choice or a good one. Maybe he is the guy it’s all fine. I think we react against it because we are uncertain.

I guess this is one I would just have to trust the staff on.

    • Yeah they were bad QBs - but QB's that stayed on their teams for several years.  BY is better than all of those.
    • This is the right move even if you think Bryce isn't the future. Everything except signing him to a long term deal until proven otherwise. There's a decent chance we have a shot to draft a QB next year that we like.
    • If we're still bad enough that Canales gets fired, especially if it's during the season, there is no way we could ever attract any HC worthy of the job if we told them they had to keep Bryce their first year. That would be 2 coaches he's gotten fired and 4 years of not performing up to par. I still say replace both of them next offseason.  I like Canales the man and I think he's done an absolutely outstanding job at fixing our locker room issues, as it was really bad before he showed up.  But I just don't see it from him with his in game decision making, I think he's held us back just as much as Bryce has, just in different ways. Canales was our Dan Campbell, the coach you hire to turn the franchises culture around for the HC after them to inherit and take to the next level.   The difference was he had some elite coordinators early on and really let him focus on his "leader of men" role as opposed to the X's and O's that Canales does himself and it's turned out well for him.
