The Panthers recovered the ball and they gave it to New Orleans anyway?  Mingo had the ball.  This bias against the Panthers is so bad at this point

Well it was 4th down so would be turnover on downs. Doesn’t matter clearly a TD

A- I'm not worried about his circus. He won't be a Panther.

B- I'm not watching the game. I'm just keeping tabs in this thread.

You cannot build with this guy. You can’t evaluate offensive personnel, you got to get this guy out if he doesn’t improve this year.
use him this year.
This is week one, the team will be better it they have 16 more games to practice against NFL competition.

So what's your fix then?

Sign another mediocre FA QB who will get us a pick in the 8-13 range of the draft where we won't get an elite QB prospect and be in the same situation again year after year?

Play Dalton and be in the same situation as above?

Be terrible this year and then use our #1 pick next year in a weak QB class to take someone who won't be an elite QB and be in the same situation 4 years later?

Trading for the pick and then drafting Bryce was the biggest mistake I've ever seen a franchise make, it set us back so many years that it's not even funny.  The unfortunate solution is that you just have to completely embrace the suck for a few years.

We need to take our lumps this year, if we end up with the #1 pick again, trade it for more assets and take our lumps again for another season and then go for a QB in a better class the following season.

There are no quick solutions in the NFL when your roster is this poor on talent overall and with such a bad QB situation.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
