Also, I've never said this, but I might as well now.

I feel like the shoulder injury from college did more damage to Bryce than he let on.

Not throwing at the combine should have taken him off our board. If he played anywhere other than Alabama it would have. Truth.

Not coping, read my posts about Bryce, he’s terrible. My point is the root issue isn’t Bryce, it’s Tepper and his decision making in hiring, etc. Morgan and Canales are fuging terrible too and simply switching QBs will not solve anything. We’ll have 1st overall pick next year and whatever QB we take will be a bust if the decision is made by Tepper/his hires. People here think Canales/Morgan will succeed once they get rid of Bryce are the ones coping. The Panthers will never see success with Tepper and those 2 running things.

Respectfully, he's the worst player on any field.

Lotta people should be preparing their apologies to Frank Reich

This is the offense that Tepper wants Bryce to run, which is dink and  dunk like Drew Brees. The problem is there is no threat of the down field deep throw.

they need to be able to air it out to keep the defense honest.

I disagree with the concept of waiting for an elite QB. You go with what you have, and do the best with it. That actually works for people if they are good at their jobs.

edit: who was Your elite QB the last time we had a shot at one? That poo worked so good the last time we went that route.

The last time we had a chance at an Elite QB was Cam and we took him, I'd say it worked out well.

We could have taken Stroud, but even he wasn't expected to be that type of guy, or else the Bears would have kept the pick and took him themselves.

Show me a team that has had long term sustained success with a non elite QB prospect or getting lucky and hitting on a mid round QB (like a Russell Wilson with Seattle)?

It doesn't happen, you can't win in the NFL without a QB and you don't get a QB unless you have a high draft pick with elite options, or just flat out luck into a situation.  Trying to force a square peg into a round hole to get your QB solution NEVER works in this league.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
