i honestly think Reich would still be coaching the Panthers today if we had drafted CJ Stroud

I may get flamed for this, but I think Reich would still be here if Carolina had drafted Will Levis. He hasn’t proven anything yet, but 10x better than Bryce Young…and we wouldn’t have had to give up any draft picks.

It's not just Bryce. It's Tepper also nudging him on coaching hires, among other things.

We'll never know what could have been.

Tepper has to realize he needs to put someone known for building a team in charge of the major decisions for the team. HE IS THE PROBLEM!

Imagine the sinking feeling that Reich had when he came out to the first training camp practice and saw what he had at QB

That is what I said all last year when it came up. I said many times that Reich got here and then Bryce came and Reich quickly saw there was big trouble for him.
That is why things were total poo.
He knew what would happen if Young was treated like a normal NFL QB. Because he isn’t and a NFL lifer that played the position would see it right away

Reich was pretty well respected in the league and with garbage QB play in Indy amassed a better win % than Fox, Rivera, and coaching legend Steve Wilks.

WOW!

Seriously though, well-respected doesn't mean you're a good HC. I always viewed Reich as an offensive version of Rivera. Rivera actually has a better win % than him. Reich only made the playoffs with Luck and Rivers (Rivers was obviously at the end of his career but still a legit above average starting QB) never with "garbage QB play." Look, don't get me wrong, Tepper made Reich's job here wayyyyyy harder, but Reich was never a great coach and it was so stupid to go with a retread hire at the time, especially him.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
