They will have to score forty points a game.....

The defense is totally decimated now with Shaq out for the year and Josey with hamstring issue.

Even the Red Rifle can't put up enough points to help this defense. If they win three more games this season it will be amazing.

A top five pick is almost a given at this point. Hopefully they can sign Dalton for at least another year and stack the defense in the draft and FA signings. Maybe go all D.

Hate to have to pass on Cam Wade if he is available. Definitely have to get a decent QB from somewhere.

To many balls to juggle at one time. This is the worst defense they have ever put on the field.

LOL now is the time to suit up Peppers, Morgan, Luke, Rucker, and TD.  Seriously - this defense is worse today than at the start of the season:  No Brown, Thompson, Jewell, Fuller.....two of these guys are not coming back this year.

It's beyond repair this year. The blew their wad giving Young no excuses and they are going to have to coach up someone. The DC brought in Jewell at 7 a year. Robinson at a little less. Jackson is solid at about the same price which is good IMO. Fuller at 5. They actually chose these guys and spent more than I thought on them. That's a GM and DC issue IMO.

As long as the offense is scoring I'm fine. Everyone gets to prove themselves this year or get gone. Winning would be nice but looking competitive is so much fun still that I'm not sweating it yet.

Honestly reminds me of 2011 Panthers. I think we forget how bad that defense played overall even with some players.

Sione Fua woof

I remember watching us play the Cowboys in '09 I think. Watched Nick Hayden get blown off the LOS on runs and pattycaked on passes and being so damned frustrated that we had that for a DT.

It's why when Gettleman drafted the two DTs 1 and 2 I fell in love with him. Which didn't last a long time but it was nice then.

lol I completely forgot about Nick Hayden. My name is Nick too and historically Nicks on the Panthers have not done well:

Nick Hayden, Nick Scott, Nick Thurman. (some might put Nick Goings).

Score 40-60ppg? I believe in Andy.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
