I love Cam but his addition isn't going to get me to watch Hot Take.

Kind of like most politicians, I don’t particularly care to hear what Cam has to say. He’s a good dude that means well, but man, he’s almost 55 now, he’s gotta check that ego at the door. Gonna break a hip if he gets too heated.

I'm the same age as Cam.

He won't be 55 for another 20 years.

Old guys always hating on the youngsters smh.

Yeah Cam is younger than our current starting QB. That’s pretty crazy really. I hate how we shorted his career. He should still be our QB at 35 years old…

We were screwed out of Cam and Luke. You talking about the best offensive player and best defensive player at one point in their careers. That's crazy the kind of talent we had, yet we never got to see them finish out their careers healthy.

I find this stuff entertaining as long as you don’t take it too seriously. It’s barbershop talk and jokes.

That said I don’t think Cam is a good fit for the same reason him and Shannon wouldn’t have worked. Cam is always The Main Character. Amusing but even when it’s just him interviewing someone he has a hard time taking a backseat to his guest. A debate format where has to play off of others and can’t always be the center of attention is not going to be easy for him.

I’m 32.

so yeah, OLD GUY.

I listen to some of what Cam talks about but he just reminds me of a lot of people I’ve known over the years who are full of poo. I liked Cam as a player and a person, and still do, but his opinions do not carry a lot of weight to me.

So why did you call him 55?

If you think 35 is old in life then you have it all wrong. Hell I go to a gym with people who are in their 60's and still going hard.

Settle down young man.

First Take played decent role in ruining sports talk.  It’s trash.

Stephen A recently compared himself to Dak when talking about his next contract.  Which sort of highlights the key issue there.  The mindset of sports talk now is the host is the draw….when it should be the talk/guest and their ability to make them/that noteworthy.

half the time it’s evident dudes like Stephan A don’t even do basic research and know what is going on….its just about being loud and being a character

    • I get it's subjective and I said "PFF rated him as" one of the top deep ball passers during that time, which is an accurate statement.  They are still a group of professionals that look at film and data in order to make their judgements/ratings.  These people whose data has been incorporated into a lot of teams' staffs view Bryce's deep throws as some of the best in the league during that stretch.  That tells me that he can probably throw a deep pass vs the Huddle's version of he is small and didn't do it his rookie year so he must not be able to.  That and literally seeing him do it just makes me feel he is more than capable of doing so.   Do you think PFF is skewing their opinion to prop up a QB in a bottom tier franchise?  It's just another group's opinion and I feel is pretty respected around the league currently.  It's not the gospel truth or anything.
    • I still remember how happy I was that gettlegut was not the GM once he picked Jones, that was a firing pick and well..... If not for the raiders drafting Clelin Ferrell, it was the biggest draft day mistake in the last 20 some years.
    • He had 251 passing yards. 3 passing touchdowns and 2 rushing touchdowns. All in all a very impressive game. Problem is I do not envision his rushing ability translating like that over the course of the upcoming season. Yeah it will be something to account for from time to time but one it's not sustainable and two you don't want to put his durability to the ultimate test against a motivated defender willing to take a penalty and a fine. And plus with our backfield. Two 1k yard rushers. That's what they're here for. Then we have a much improved WR room. That means Bryce has to elevate those passing numbers substantially. The fact of the matter is regardless of circumstances it did take him 23 games to surpass Kyle Allen's single season passing yardage from 13 games in 2020. And that is not a high bar by any means. Whatever QB tier Bryce ends up in from here amongst his peers this upcoming season when it's all said and done it will be with his arm.
