Yeah, I mean I just don't think there was a single GM in this league that looks at him as starting material. I never understood where that came from.

Good signing at a market rate. Very valuable depth.

I thought for sure he would get some team giving him starting level money, but his market HAD to be cold to return to the Panthers. I thought 8 teams would be after him, he did have great 2022 tape at LG and some teams are giving them ala viking gave 88million to one. ALL those dang teams with 50+ in cap space need OLmen!

Nope I totally whiffed on this, no excuses and you where clearly right about his market/value.

C Brady Christensen re-signs with Carolina Panthers

  • 2024 PFF Grade: 63.6
  • 2024 PFF WAR: 0.02
  • Contract: One year, $2.787 million ($2.787 million guaranteed)
  • PFF Projected Contract: Two years, $7.5 million ($4 million guaranteed)
  • PFF Deal Grade: Average

A solid depth re-signing for Carolina, Christensen had two games in 2024 where he earned a PFF grade above 75.0. He also brings valuable versatility, having started at both left tackle and center last season and at every position along the offensive line throughout his career.

I don’t understand why they opted for 1 year. He’s solid. It must have been the injury from this past year where Brad wanted to try the free agent market next year.

He’ll be 30 then. I doubt his market will increase substantially. I love the deal for us. Wish we had locked him in for 3 years at that rate.

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
